Default Rare vintage narita nagoya pachinko machine - early

Wow this one really jumped up drastically today with still 4 days to go. It was at $50 yesterday. Very rare indeed but not more than maybe $125 in this condition. Also clearly a battle between three bidders, not to mention potential snipers

I thought about a $125 snipe but I'm tapping out. Really. No Really!

Good luck if a member here is bidding

MY BAD! I jacked it up to $100 and called it my limit. I never made winning bid...so someone's top bid was somewhere higher. I saw that it was up to $137 earlier today! I have only seen pics of these...not likely to see the real deal!

I know one of the bidders who is bidding on there. They are a common member here. And no it isn't me, price is too steep.

A beautiful Narita machine. It looks to be a later model than mine. The back cover is missing, but can be replaced with a piece of plexi cut to fit. I think there is an upper tray missing as well, but can't be sure since I don't know if this one has the same overall design as mine.

    Here are pics of mine:

The last one I saw sell on eBay several years ago went for nearly $400!!

Good luck to any members who are bidding. I would love to see this one stay in the Pachi family and see some posts about it.

Can anyone explain what the heck I am looking at? It looks like there are two power input busses, one on the bottom and one on the top. And what is up with that bar across the front bottom of the playfield, some sort of weird drain system? Is this some crazy recycler system? Looks to be very late 60's with that front overflow setup.

First i've seen of something as bizarre as this. Any info would be appreciated.

The Narita design is a very compact "recycler" machine. The bar at the bottom of the play field is the losing ball exit path. Those losing balls flow to the large tray on the back of the machine (see pics of my machine above). The only electrical that I know of is for a single jackpot payout light in the center feature area. I don't know why there would be two power busses.

sharmoni did a wonderful write-up on his Narita machine several years ago. I think if you read through it you will have a much better understanding of the design and flow of these cool machines.

    Good call MX!!

Where's the tray!! Back down to $50 IMO!!! Major deal breaker

Creating a tray would be doable, but a major downfall!!

That tray towards the bottom is the reward tray. My Dad's Narita is the same. It looks wierd, but that's all there is to it. Here's what his looks like for comparison:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the tray is missing. But the simplistic design would make fabricating a replacement almost trivial. Might be a worthwhile project if it can be had for the right price.

While on a trip to Hawaii in my younger days amidst the Aloha shirts and voluptuous women, I came across a gambling hall/bar with Narita machines - Ever since I have associated good luck with the Pegasus emblem... I may bid out of nostalgia - Restoration on such a simple machine shouldn't be too tough
