Default Is It Just Me Or Has Pachinko Machine Values Skyrocketed In Recent Years?

Just recently got back into pachinko...ressurrected an old 1970's Nishijin pachinko that my Dad had in his basement for many years.
I went onto the web to see if I could pick up a couple more for my game room and it seems like the prices have gone crazy and the supply
has all dried up; not only for the modern ones, but for these old vintage ones as well.

I remember a few years back when I bought my pachislo, there were a lot of vendors that you could buy a modern pachinko
from for less than $200...where are they all now? Has the supply dried up? The only ones I can find on the web are like $400-$500
    and up. Am I wrong?

do a nationwide search on CL for vintages. there's thousands of them though they may be scarce locally. prices are all over the map but I still see free ones every now and then.

Also if you post on CL in my area people will try to talk you down to 1/2 off and offer very low prices.
I have sold a lot of stuff on CL and more non-pachinko stuff going up next week. But the prices offered
    are usually way too low.

dont forget that the yen is strong against the dollar now, $1 to 76.92yen (02.08)
that means a 20000yen machine ends up being $260
a few years ago it was like $1 to 120yen...

I think this has a lot to do with the prices on the new stuff, the rate was $1 - 120yen when SS was flooding the market with machines driving the prices down with having 3 of each model on $1 starting bid no reserve ebay ads. I think the better way to look at prices is that a lot of us got into them when they hit the cheap spot in prices vs. that they have now gotten more expensive.

I don't mind paying more for the newer machines. The technology these new machines have now blows the old machines out of the water. I have a bunch of machines that are just "video screens, pins, and pockets" that came from the "golden years" of pachinko. They're just not the same as the new ones. Compared to what a machine costs brand new (thousands), we can have them in our homes for a couple hundred. It's really a bargain IMO.

I have a list of about 10 machines that I'd like to buy. I just hope I'll be able to get them when I have the $$.

I'm really loving the new machines, so much gameplay and so many animatronics.
looks like I might have to sell some of my older machines at some point.
    No, not the Julie.
