    Default Monster Village Question?

    Hello All

I have a Monster Village by Takeya, and when the machine is turned on, and not being played, it has a screen come up with brand name and game name, which is no problem, BUT, it has sound to it. And it happen about every 90 seconds or so

Anyone know if there is a way to turn off the sound during this teaser, it mainly to remind me the game is on, and I'm playing a different machine at that time

    Here a second question

Is it better to turn off pachinko machines by on/off switch or just unplugging them? or does it even matter

    Thanks for reading

the best way to turn on and off is with a power stirip because the transformer still has power

startup screen or noise can be stopped by turning machine off and back on

always use a power strip, switched outlet or unplug the machine. The transformer is on the hot side of the power switch in the machine and will keep sucking power even with the machine off (not to mention it keeps getting hotter)

as for the attract mode sounds you can just turn the machine off, install pots or an "L- pad" so you can turn the sound down when not playing.

"pots" are potentiometers, a variable resistor like the volume control on a stereo or an electric guitar. "L-pads" are mono or stereo volume controls designed for high end sound systems that do the same thing while letting you adjust both sides evenly while not changing the load on the amplifier. There are many threads on these with arguments for and against each but the bottom line is in the end both do the same thing and most work great.
