Default Look at this New Engine Design

They call it a Circle-Cycle Engine . Air Cooled Ceramic cylinders , No Intake or exhaust valves . Enjoy !

It still has to take in air in order to burn the fuel tho and it needs to exhaust that air unless I'm mssing something?
Is it justthe valves that are missing as it it uses a central air supply and exhaust?

Ok got it saw it in the blueprint.
    Very Cool!

interesting.. i did not look at every page but im wondering what the horse power range would be.. or its power to weight ratio??? and the bigest question will stupid California allow it.. if they can make it work hear they might have a winner

On the sites pages they say that the engine by design does complete combustion of the Fuel used . By my reading of that they state that it is a zero polution engine and the engine is also a generator so you can use a ac 3 phase electric motor for propulsion .

there is no such thing as a zero pollution motor that burns fossil fuel, true it may burn the fuel more efficiently creating less carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide but it will still not be a "clean" motor

That's true, however in marketing speak what they likely really mean is that it burns 100% of the fuel and no fuel goes out the tailpipe unburnt.
That in istelf is pretty remarkable. But as you say there are always emissions when you burn any type of fuel.
Still, burning 100% of the fuel is quite a feat! It would be significantly cleaner than most modern engines if true.

but see the problem is they are making statments like this in there site

" direct injection, and high temperature ceramic cylinders, the fuel is very
    close to being completely burned."

well i have played the lottery and "i am very close to becoming a millionaire" just one more ticket is all i need

what does very close really mean???

Hard to say for certain. Burning 100% of the fuel would be quite a feat as I said. It sounds like they are really efficient but not 100%.
It's meaningless unless you have data to back up the numbers.
The particulate mass of say a Prius engine vs this engine vs a Chevy Pickup truck.
If you could see how much difference then it has meaning. Until then it's just marketng hype.
They said a camcorder that I was looking at had a 47% improvement in low light over the previous model.
The reality was it wasn't any different at all.
This engine looks cool and is probably very efficient but until they have hard data and compare it to other real world
engines under load, it's just a Popular Mechanics pipedream.

Direct injection is responsible for an increase in MPG in a lot of the current motors. Technology is up and coming
and that motor is a very positive sense.

Oh I am sure most know this but there is no total replacement for carbon based fuel till at least 20-30 years off
from what i have read. I will never qualify for an eco warrior and I drive a brand new Camry Hybrid... Its not for the green unless you mean money
I drove 25K a year stopping and starting. Hybrids work best for me!

I wonder how many rpm's it can run at.At some point there has to be a max power curve where the pistons float. Thats where intake and exaust equalize with each other and the engine blows.A normal piston engine can only go as fast as the valves can open and shut until they float and go through the piston. It would have to have a govenor on it.That's a very interesting engine.
