I called and left a message with this seller and have yet to hear back (asked for a close up of the face and a full back pic)
A single shot would be great to have
any opinions here about what can be seen in that tiny pic?

I saved it to my hard drive, and tried to enlarge it. I was concerned about the 2 squares on the cell. They appear to be a pattern and don't scare me anymore. However the pic just got grainier as I enlarged it. Looks like a rubber tube/pad was added to the finger post (removable), and it seems to have a lever or button for a winning ball overflow/storage chamber. Common to this style machine...but not on every one. Can't tell without seeing better pics, and must see good pics of the back! But overall...I LIKE IT.

Man it just breaks my heart to let this machine slip away from me. Not that I like it but there is a story behind this type of machine.

After I got my first pachinko we started looking to buy more so we turned to ebay. I saw a cool single shot on there at the time. It was the same model and machine. Everything. The only difference is that the playfield background was blue and that someone painted the frame blue. The best part was that it was even close to me. So I placed a bid and then was instantly out bid. So I kept going. I topped out at $120 because I didn't know the value of these machines at the time. So it slipped away from me. I never figured out who got it or where it is. But I have been kicking myself since. That is why I have been on the hunt for another one.

But yet that one in Frisco there is just the machine I'm looking for. But yet it is too far from me. It is the only machine I'd really wish to have in my collection.

    100 machines and counting...

Looks like it has some balls, but take some just in case. They are very simple mechanics, you should have no problem testing it. I like the cell. For $40, I would likely buy it. I think you will like it! (but it is far from an early modern!) Take a good pic of the cell even if you don't get it(like that's gonna happen).

Made it up there and back with this beauty!

    Its made by Towakogyo
it needs a good cleaning, has a small crack in the jackpot hopper tray, and has a ball jam right before the payout lever ( I took a photo of the area, looks like i would need to remove some of the center areas to reach it )

other than that, its in far better shape than I expected (but I will leave that to the experts to decide)

WOW! That is one sweet single ball machine! You did well to get it, and at a great price! The ball jam will likely have to have the plastic cover removed to clear. Carefully remove the nails or screws (probably nails) and let them fall out. That area is for JP balls that go to the seesaw when it is down (like when you hit 2 or more JP's at once), they then go into the clear window in front. When the seesaw is reset to the up position, you turn the lever on the front to lift them up into the seesaw to get a payout. This keeps you from losing your JP. They only hold about 5 in reserve...someone kept feeding it balls, and it is now seriously backed up! This is completely reversible. Ordinarily, you would just fill the top tray with balls, reset the seesaw, and push the lever to payout each ball held. This jam has too many and will likely require the cover to be carefully removed. From the small pics, I thought the blue part above the ball feed hole was a button...but yours is a lever. Super cool cell! Most machines of this era had very plain cells, like my Comicgo,Comicgo 017.jpg and my Ginza Ginza 001.jpg, your cell is very cool! Yours is newer than either of these because it has a jackpot light, and a chrome door. My 2 has a tab on the back at the top that blocks the glass from sliding up through a slot in the top of the wooden frame. Make sure you have enough balls up top to release the hook that stops the payout tray from tilting. Jiggle the rod on the right to try to free up the balls stuck behind the orange plastic cover. Those balls are after the seesaw and should roll out the orange tube at the bottom. The seesaw is exposed and easily reset by pushing down where the stiff wire touches it on top. It is already up so not necessary now. Very cool machine! Nice catch! Great price! You Win!If you have any questions feel free to ask, you should have this machine up and running in no time. You will be amazed at how simple and easy this is to fix compared to the complicated stuff you are used to!

Here are some updated dated pics of the single shot, which works great after loosening up a couple of levers and removing the ball jam, Ive cleaned the face a bit but have not tackled any metal or nails at this point, but did manage to get the lights up and running (three clustered in the center feature) just took cleaning the fuse ends for better contact, ituses a 250v 1/5a fuse, What would be the best power source? Im using a 6V lantern battery at the moment

I see youi have balls in the JP overflow window. (have we come up with an official name for this yet?) Have you studied it yet? When the seesaw is down for any reason, and a ball falls into a win pocket, it hits the tab on top of the seesaw and is directed into this window. After the seesaw is reset, you can then press or twist the lever that lifts an elevator that puts a ball into the seesaw to pay out a jackpot. Originally designed to store JP balls when multiple hits were made to prevent ball jams.(that is what I believe) Since this rarely happens on a single ball machine...I have another use. I set the seesaw in the down position before play, then drop 5 balls into the JP. These balls go into the window on front. Place whatever amount of balls in tray to begin play, and play as normal. When I run out of balls...I simply push the button (or twist the lever in your case), and out come 15 more balls. It is like a Daverob dongle for the vintage machine!
