    Default New Here

New here, just found you site today while I was cleaning my old machine. I got this machine back in the early to mid 1970's as a Christmas gift. Using the internet I believe it to be a Nishijin DX model A w/bowling theme. I keep it covered up in my family room next to my Williams Fish Tales pinball machine and uncover it when company comes over and asks about it. Works great, glad I kept it. The pinball machine was purchased back in the early 1990's and I'm glad I kept it as well.

Welcome to PachiTalk! We are happy that you became a member.

I have repaired and reconditioned many of the Nishijin Bowling-themed Pachinko machines, but I have never seen one as clean and complete as yours!! You have quite a treasure there.

We hope you come back to visit us often and share more pictures with us.

Thanks guys. I had no idea this machine was considered "clean". I'm often kicking myself for not taking better care of it. I live near the beach and the chrome on the front is a bit worn. Guess I need to take some polish to it and take better care of it.

A small wad of #0000 steel wool will shine the chrome up real nicely and make it look like new again.

Well, you folks motivated me and I'm just finishing up with with the 4/0 steel wool and metal polish, just blew the dust bunnies off the back of it with some compressed air as well. Time to clean the play surface and then I'm done for today.

Make sure you do not spray any liquid directly on the play field. Moisture will seep between the nails and laminate and leave permanent water stains!! I spray a little 409 on an old cotton T-shirt and use my fingers to gently scrub the play surface.

Thanks for the tip. I use a little Pledge on a soft cotton towel and then buff it all off. I've had good luck with it on my pinball machine as well. Keeps the play surface slick and shiny but doesn't attract dust.
