Default New (to me!) Nishijin Shiroi Kamome

Hi all, been reading old thread for the last week, figured I'd jump in and say hello!

I just picked up a vintage "Nishijin Shiroi Kamome," still trying to figure out specific date/model info, but as far as I can tell, it's a B, right?

I have experience with arcade and pinball restoration, but this'll be my first go at a pachinko game. Looking forward to it!

Anyone have more details on this particular model?

Thanks, and that's good to hear! From the history page linked here on the board, looks like one of the machines that were imported in bulk during the mid 70s.

Anyone have an idea of what the theme of this particular machine is? The plastics are pretty confusing. :]

I'd tell you the theme but I can't view the pic of the front at the moment (server too busy) I did get to look at the back. I think I saw one part that was out of place or broken. It is a metal tab with what looks to be a steel slug attached to it. It should be above the track coming from the tray (right before the bend)

Now I can view the front.

I have seen that center feature before. I'm trying to remember what it is of or called. But it is fairly common. Can a member who knows it please help me out.

"So there's a guy, maybe he's falling, or jumping, with an ax flying out of his hands, and uh, maybe a balloon thing, oh and a frog above him, at least it might be a frog..."

    Yeah, it's a confusing feature.

    Hah, thats it!

I made a post a bit ago with direct links to larger versions of the images, but it's still queued for moderation (due to me being new, and posting links, I assume).

Yeah, rust looks mostly surface. Dev studio is closed next week, so hoping to be able to dedicate some time to teardown and cleanup.

As owen pointed out, its a 1975. Here is a pic showing the three dust covers you are missing, as well as the location where the dangling upper ball leveler is supposed to go:

It looks like the wires are pulled out of the jackpot relay too.

Like I said I'm trying to remember what it was called. It is very familiar to me but it has an odd name. Do any members remember what the japanese characters say? Clam if I remember right I think you were the one who figured it out. (or was it someone else. )
