    Smile My First Vintage Pachinko

It's a Maruhon and it works great! It's a bit dirty and needs a thorough cleaning with q-tips but it works like a champ.
I have some modern machines on order but this one is pretty cool!

Thanks One of the Pachitalk members on here Tommy4132 picked it up for me. There were 2 machines. We split them he got the Cool metallic one and I got the cool one with the springboard in the middle.
The ball bounces like crazy when you get it in there.
He cleaned it up a bit before I picked it up. That was really nice of him.
He also showed me a lot about vintage machines, very helpful.
I like it, it's a lot of fun to play.

Very cool! This is the 1st Maruhon I've seen that the yellow ball hopper wasn't broken. I had to modify a Nishijin model B hopper for mine. You can see it if you search "2 new vintages!". I like it!

When are 2 and 3 arriving. Then no 10, then 30. Be careful these things bred and multiply quickly
Cleaning and adjusting is all part of the fun

Thanks, hopefully the ball hopper in mine will not break. I'll look up yours.

Actually 2 & 3 are moderns and have been ordered but I have to wait a while to get them. Sadly I don't have room for more than 5 or 6 at the moment.
my wife likes playing them at least as much as I do.
She has no problems with us getting more as long as we have room for them and can afford it.
    She's such a great wife!

Congrats!! I like the spring board centerpiece - I played with a customer's machine that had one. been looking for one for my collection ever since. Welcome to the "vintage" side of the hobby.

The springboard is very cool but it's tough to get a ball in there.

You can carefully bend the nails to widen the openings where the balls go in. That is how you change the odds on vintage machines.

Geeze, I wish I could say the same.

I have a wife and 3 teen-age kids and a nicely restored 1979 Nichijin and a 2003 Bellco Automatic Pachislo.

Although the machine is kept in a common place with balls already pre-loaded in the shooter, nobody except me is interested in it. It's like it's not even there. For example I've been playing it for months with only the 65 balls I originally found jammed in it because the balls are considered "too expensive". AAARG! Maybe I can spend the $40 or so for balls as a Christmas gift.

I think I'd be sleeping in the shed if I ever got a 2nd Pachinko or Pachislo. It's really a great thing that your wife has a good interest in it. I think you're very lucky there!

I think I'll keep the odds high for a while. Make my wife work for those jackposts. That way she'll see the neccesity of a cabinet with a Hopper on top and more balls.

Thanks, my wife really is the best. She isn't typical by any stretch, she is from the Philippines and grew up with anime as her dad watched it. She likes Sci-Fi and Action movies. She likes to go fast in cars and I will probably let her drag race her car next year since she really wants to. It'll still be a 16 second quarter mile tho. We have Honda Fit's, so not really powerful. Still she'll have fun.
Her biggest problem is she has no time to get things done due to her current job. But she likes a lot of things many women don't. She's a good match for me.

Too bad your family isn't into Pachinko or Pachislo, the rest of my family isn't either. My grandkids might like it when they come up to visit next year.
Why not ask for some Pachinko balls for Christmas? Tell her it would be a great present for you.

Yes it looks like it has a similar center. I hope mine cleans up as well as yours. Mine is orange in the center but looks like it has the same acrobats.
Your looks really nice. Once mine is setup properly I can take better pics of it. It's hard to do with it sitting on the floor.
