I have owned 4 Corvettes and my 72 was the worst. They had a pop up cowling covering the wipers and it always got stuck in the closed position when it rained. When it snowed, the ice build up kept it shut too. I also usually had one light open and the other closed since they were air or vacuum operated too. The best was my 66 in Mossport Green.
