    Default Vintage Pachinko Hybrid

I have 2 vintage pachinko. One is a Takeya and the other is a Sanyo. The front on the Takeya is shot but the back mechanism is complete and working. On the Sanyo, the front is complete and working but the back has been stripped of all working parts. Has anybody ever tried to make a hybrid? I was thinking about taking the back off the Takeya and putting it on the Sanyo.

    agreed with the pictures.

I would think it could be a good idea. But the hard part will be getting all the wholes and parts to line up correctly. (though I already kinda figured out it would probably be fairly easy to merge a sankyo with a nishijin.)

    Hmm...

Now seeing them you best bet would probably be to part them out. I think it might be a real challenge to mash them. (If it is even possible) I mean those machines are from different years and two completely different companies. I'm sure they probably don't even have shared parts. (like Nishijin and Sankyo) I'm going to put my vote in for parting them out.

If you do decide to bash them together I'd love to watch the process.

go for it! worst thing that can happen is it can't be made to work and you part them out anyway but I think you have enough there to frankenpachi. I would try it.

I don't think the mushroom head is worth saving, but the other doesn't look too far off IMO. If it were mine it would be restored with LED's, solonoids and a few TTL gates.

I didn't vote because I feel the poll needs a 3rd option... Restore one and scrap the other.

Only issue with your thought is that it takes up WAY too much time. Plus you'll end up investing too much money in the thing and in the future won't be able to make a profit off of it.

True but that is something you do to satisfy yourself, regardless what others think it is worth.
