    Default (2) Pachinko machines - $75 (Boston/Dover)

Two pachinko machines. Conditions unknown. Look like they just need a cleaning. Both for $75 or best offer.

Wow those are nice machines. I already know the first one is a maruhon. But I can't tell what the other one is. Either way for those two machines at $75 for both that may be a fair price for them (all depends on what brand the other one is.)

He re-posted these machines. I might go have a look at them. I could not figure out what the second machine is either.

I sent him an email as these are close to me but I haven't had a response back yet. I'm worried if they are in working condition as I know nothing about these machines.
    These are early modern pachi?
    I'll try emailing him again.

I guess the easiest way is to say no electronics. Or very basic. Manual shooters and certainly no screens in the middle. Only real wiring is light bulbs operated by the balls rolling over levers. Have a look at the Model A, B and C videos in the vintage section made by Moparformance

With only a few exceptions, if it has a flipper handle to launch the balls, then it is considered a vintage machine. Electronic/automatic ball launcher handles that you twist are considered modern machines.

We have seen some vintage machines that are retrofitted with automatic ball launchers, but they are not that common.

Ok, thanks that clears it up for me quite a bit. I still think the vintage machines are cool. I also like some of the modern ones. Aw heck they're all Cool!

So far the seller has not contacted me at all. This could be because of the holiday or he might have sold them. Either way I've had no response.

I have been trying to get a hold of this person too. As soon as they re-posted I sent them an email. A couple of days later I tried again and still nothing . Maybe he posted and went away for the holidays. I will buy them whether or not they work. Fixing them up is the best part.

If the guy ever contacts us do you want to each take one? If you really want both you can have them. I already have a couple and I can always wait for the next one.

No I really just want one and hopefully it has some balls to go with it. There is one that looks really clean so I'm hoping that one is available. I do not have room for a lot of machines, so I really just want the one that is on the left as it looks clean.

    Ok I will do that.
Actually that will work I want the one on the right. I live in Massachusetts, about an hour away from Dover. If he decides to get a hold of us we can work something out where one of us buys them and we can meet somewhere. Maybe we can even go at the same time if we can work that out. Just PM me if he gets a hold of you and I will do the same. We can exchange numbers at that point.

Kyoraku has used that back before but so have others. It looks like my Isuzu-Besta twins and with no large bage on it I am betting it is a Besta.

Also on the classes of machines I had almost started a thread this morning with my thoughts on it.

Vintage - all mechanical, needs no power for anything other than lights
Vintage hybrid - needs power to work but is still a vintage machine (shooter knob but still gravity fed or things like power flash and circuit racer)
Early modern - has a computer, could have LED or LCD display, basic sounds and must be powered to work yet still has a vintage style case (80's through early 90's)
Modern - all the front is plastic, no chrome doors (anything that looks nothing like a vintage at all from the front)

I just say vintage and modern, but an early modern to me are the early 80s ones..As for the no chrome thing I have a 2000 machine and late 90s machines with the chrome doors..So coming out up to 20 years after the first moderns I wouldn't consider them early in any way..

good points, that is the trouble with trying to dump these into categories, there are so many models that are designed seemingly at random there is no real way to make rules that are absolute for lining them up.
