    Default Top Gun shooter removal

Hi, I have a Taiyo Electric Top Gun pachinko machine that has a shooter problem. It feels like it has a bad bearing. It won't snap back to (what I call the zero position).

The knob has no spring tension at the zero position. It feels like it's grinding, and it squeeks.

I need to find out how to remove the knob so I can see what's worn out, or if something is jammed inside.

I was told that there is a screw on the bottom that allows you to remove the knob, but I don't see any screws.

The shooter fires the balls normally, but it doesn't feel right when you turn it to shoot.

    Please help.

    Thanks

How to remove the shooter knob.

You have to open the glass door, and open the chassis door. With the unit open, there is a latch that opens the ball tray section. Open the ball tray section, and you will see 2 screws.

Remove these two screws. From the rear of the unit you will see 8 small screws that secure the white shooter knob front piece.

Once these 8 screws are removed, you can remove the bottom section of the unit that holds the shooter knob.

There are 3 screws that hold the shooter knob to the white plastic face.

There are 3 screws behind the removed knob that allows the knob to be disassembled.

Pay attention as to how it looks, because it needs to go back together the same way.

There is also an adjustment for the shooter knob return spring tension.

Look in the back of the unit for the shooter spring assembly. There is a round spring that has the end of the spring sticking out.

You can move the spring end into several notches to add or remove spring tension.
