Although many of us use credit cards daily, it boils down to personal responsibility. I think I am a bit lucky in this regard because I have an accountant for a spouse. I try to keep my hobbies cheap and I'm big on second-hand stuff, but it's very easy to get in trouble with credit cards. Likewise, it's easy to blame the credit card companies for your own irresponsibility.
