Default Is there a manual in English I can get for this pachinko machine?

I just got this at a garage sale. I used to have one when I was a kid and saw this modern one for $30 at a garage sale and had to have it. The problem is, it is all in Japanese and I have no clue how to operate it. Is it possible to get English manuals for this?

    Can anyone help?

Welcome to PachiTalk!! We are thrilled you joined the site.

There are not any english manuals for these machines, in fact, there are very few (if any) manuals for these machines at all. The best way to get the information you need is to exactly what you did - join Pachitalk, start a thread, and post a picture. The members on this site are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I am a vintage Pachinko guy, so I am afraid I cannot help you with your question, but someone will be along shortly who can. I simply wanted to welcome you to the PachiTalk family.

    Hello, Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Pachinkos were made solely for the Japanese market and so there aren't really any english worded game specific manuals to be found, unless a member has written one

However most modern pachinkos follow the same basic gameplay

Here's a couple of links that will explain:

PachiTalk Research Center - FAQ - Pachinko - Pachinko - Modern Day Operation - PachiTalk

PachiTalk Research Center - FAQ - Pachinko - Modern Pachinko Game Setup, Playing Troublehooting FAQ - PachiTalk

If you have any questions at all, do please post them and I'm sure the members will be able to help

    Welcome Aboard

Certainley an interesting looking machine you have there. Lets start with the balls. You will need 500 at the minimum but ideally more. Its probably a cr machine as you have the buttons and display on the front.
Does everything work on it? Does the monitor light up, Does the shooter, shoot? Does it payout.
The machine will require 24vac to work. Make sure there is a transformer in the back and don't plug it straight into your mains outlet. If you can post a pic of the back, That would be great. There should also be on the front near the top right some japanese writing. Will tell you the machine name and payout values
The basic game play is shot the balls using the knob. Adjust the speed by turning the shooter one way or another, You are aiming for the start pocket in the middle below the screen. When you get a ball in the start pocket the machine will make a small payout (varies on machine 3-5)
Also the reels on the monitor will spin. When the numbers match the little white door below the start pocket will open, Then Try to get the balls into the door.
Very basic but its a start

I have been searching to try and find more info on your model,

It looks like it's in the Nishijin 'Elfin Model' frame which roughly dates 2001 to 2003 I think,

But the game cell itself looks like 'Ukiyoe'
    2003 model

Awesome, thank you all! It was a very simple problem the prior owner and myself were having to get this to work. We were only putting balls in the top rear tray Putting balls in the front tray makes it work like a charm. The digital screen works great, the sound is loud and drives my kids insane. Just what I was looking for! Is $30 a good deal for these things?

If you want to wall mount it or put it in a cabinet, You might want to research the daverob dongle. It gets round, Having to scoop up the balls from the back and put them in the front.
Plenty of tips for volume control here as well. I don't know about that side of the pond but $30 for a fully working modern worth balls sounds like a bargain

dang that machine has that famous wave picture for the background. Incredibly funky looking frame too. That face is from some sort of signifigant japanese history. It looks so familar. Seriously the background. A friend of mine had a huge poster of that wave on his wall.

That's right - it's Hokusai's 'O-Nami' (Great Wave), THE most famous Ukiyo-e (浮世絵 - say "oo-key-oh-ay" ->> pictures of the floating worlds) style of Japanese painting ever seen in the West. And the figure framing that is from Sharaku's 'Otanu Onjii II'... another very famous Ukiyo-e painting.

Thus the name of the machine...

Machine details are at : http://www.p-world.co.jp/_machine/kisyu.cgi?kisyu=p2624

Your deji-pachi machine was in parlours in April 2003.
There is always another machine around the corner...
