Default Auto stop reels take 30 seconds to stop

My machine takes 30 seconds for the reels to stop and the stop reel buttons do not work. The very basic Q&A instructions with the name KITEC (with picture) instruct you to press the left stop reel button if you want to turn off the auto stop feature and to press the middle & right stop reel button to turn on. That seems a bit basic and of course no combination of anything I do with those buttons changes the 30 seconds it takes for the auto stop.

I'll be glad to take numerous images of the inside if it would be helpful. Of course I'm hoping it's an easy known solution that this newbie is clueless about

Thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions!

    Regards,

    Bob (New Slot Machine Guy)

    WELCOME!!!

I don't think I'll be much help, but wanted to say that the reels will stop like that if buttons aren't pushed even without an auto stop..If your machine does have an auto stop and its working it would be stopping the reels much faster than that..

I would guess a loose connector or a stuck button or something, but I don't know much about pachislos..

BTW, Pics are always very helpful!!

I had an Auto-Stop board in my Trip Devil, and it did stop the reels pretty quick. I'm sorry I can't be of much help with your problem, but what I can say is this: Don't bother with an auto-stop board. I enjoy my Trip Devil much more now that I took it out. It makes the machine more challenging and not as brainless to play. :-)

Iwon't use an auto stop board either,I like the challenge of the stop buttons, it makes the gaming more fun. Thats the design of pachislo's.They aren't meant to be like a vegas slot.

it could be stop buttons are dirty or stop buttons with poor contact,

also your spin lever may not be centering or has poor connections

the auto slot is a nice feature, I have it on two of my games. I usually use it when I play more than i machine at a time. I do not remember the sequence but there is a way to speed up the works. Who did you get the Auto Stop from?

A few photos in hopes of identifying what I might try to get the reel button working once again. I just want the option to hit the buttons and stop the reels, nothing more...

I'll mention that the buttons do not have a lot of resistance when you push them but seem to work fine outside of that.

Middle picture, at the yellow sticker, is that a volume control knob? It looks out of place.

Yes, there are two different volume controls. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where or whom I might ask on such a unit?

Hi and WELCOME TO PachiTalk! ! !

Since the Motherboard "IS" Stopping the Reels on a "Time Out" Your issue is with the Stop Board.

Look for this Board in your Pachi.

First try re seating the 30 pin ribbon cable at both the Stop Board and motherboard ends. Check for bent pins when you do this.

If that does not work, check the Fuse on the Stop Board. It is a 1 Amp Fuse.

Here's how Things work in your Pachi.

When you press the Spin Knob it sends a signal to the Stop Board and Motherboard to let them know that the reels have started spinning. As you press each Stop Button a signal is sent to the stop board only telling it that you want to stop the reel that you selected. Once the Stop Board gets that signal it then sends a signal to the motherboard to tell it to stop that reel.

If the motherboard does not receive any stop commands from the Stop Board then after a preset time the Motherboard stops the reels from left to right on it's own.

If your Pachi has Lit Stop Buttons that change color as the reels start spinning you will notice that all three buttons change back to the other color at the same time as the first reel is stopped by the Motherboard.

You stated that you have Basic instructions for turning an Auto Stop "On" and "Off". When you look at your Stop Board see if the Ribbion cable is connected to it directly or if one of these are connected "In Line" between the Stop Board and the Ribbon Cable.

The one on the left is My AutoSlot. The one on the right is from another Manufacturer. If you have on installed I think that it would be the one on the right as my AutoSlot Reel Stop function is turned on and off by pressing only the left Stop Button.

If you do have one of these installed, try removing it and connect the 30 Pin ribbon cable directly to your Stop Board. If either one of these is installed and it went bad, it may have just blown the Fuse on the Stop board and / or damaged the Stop Board.

Let us know what you find.

I have taken pics of everything in the machine. I'm not familiar with what it would look like but I'll do some more checking. Am I correct in assuming this would not be set up with a mother board stop (which is about 30 seconds) only? There should at least be something that should allow me to push the buttons to stop the reels?

Thanks again to all for the input! Bob

Here are a few more pictures of everything inside that looks significant outside of on/off buttons and volume controls. The instructions make it sound like the AUTO STOP are built in. I have no idea if that is the case but it does mention having such. In either case my only goal is to stop the reels with the buttons

This is the lower portion of the front door/face - I have circled (although a poor job of doing so) the area just behind the stop reel buttons in purple

Thats what I'd say even at that, it could be the board the buttons are on. I took apart my Nile Panics front door and it wasn't that bad. Just take your time and be easy. Has to be a bad connection. I would be surprise if the buttons themselves were not working (meaning the buttons being faulty). Could possibly cure the problem by simply unplugging and plugging in some connectors.

I had a similar problem with my siolar machine, the start knob had a bent contact shaft and was shorting out the stop button's sensors. After taking that apart and recentering it,I noticed the stop buttons were all loose at the connections and had to clean them and reconnect them . That solved the problem.

I did not see the Stop Board in your latest Pic's. If it does not have one can you tell us the name of your Pachi and would it be a NET machine?

Looking at your power supply Pic it may be a pre 2000 built Pachi. Is there a Manufacturers label on the backside of it?

If you have already re seated the Stop Button plugs on the inner door PC Board, then try to re seat the ribbon cable plug from that PC Board and the other end at the Mother Board.

I matched the reel strips and it look to be a 2001 GOGO Juggler.

This is a Link for the Manual to this Pachi. :

Here is a Video of it. :

    Is this your Machine?

If so, it should have the Stop Board I spoke of in an earlier Post. Please look around inside the machine once again for it. It will have that 30 pin ribbon cable from the motherboard attached to it.
