Default Analog RGB display adapter Yamasa

    Hi all
New here and this is my first post!
I got my very first Pashislo/ot/inko.
    It Biohazard/Resident Evil

What I would like to do is record the screen with a direct feed.
I searched the forum and found a couple threads on the topic but the links to sites that had them for sale are dead.

So my question is...anyone know where I can get one?
    Thanks for any help!

    Thanks for the welcome. ^_^.

What I'm trying to do is record whats on the pachislot LCD screen.
The best way to do that is get a RGB/VGA/S vido adapter. I know there are some out there. But I'm having trouble finding a site or place that sells them.

UPDATE!! I found this one ebay, I asked the seller if it will work and he sed yes. But before I buy it is there anyone here who has done this before who can give me advice? I'll be devastated if I mess up my pachi after just getting it >.<

So... you want to up the rez on your biohazard screen?
Is the monitor capable of handling that?
I was inclined to believe the interlacing during sequences (that I notice on my biohazard) normally suggest the rez is already too high for the monitor to handle.

The game that supplies video for this title was released in 2002.
I wouldn't think it has a higher rez capability.

    Hmmm,
Me thinks this to be a useless endeavor... at least for your Biohazard.
Pretty much any footage Yamasa put into the pachislo can be found on youtube via Nintendo Gamecube walkthroughs.
    Ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZH5IXwyKwc

Matter o fact, one should find these clips to be more extensive than actually recording a feed of the minimal scenes the Yamasa corp decided to utilize in their Biohazard pachislo.
There's not even any decent pachislo related overlays in the Yamasa incarnation.
    It's just a straightforward port.

This is the cutscene they used before a Big Bonus:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q9xM7EaVTY
Although it's a bit more watered down on the pachi-screen

I'm having trouble finding an excuse to modify any pachi to record screen content, especially since any type of videocam has supplied sufficient source of video thusfar.

If you have a handy cam (or reasonable facsimile thereof) your 35bones may be better spent on a tripod.

    Oh yeah...

    Welcome aboard
nice to finally hear from ya.

The cutscenes are much diffrent on the pachislot then on the Gamecube game. The same renders & models are used.

So I got the LCD screen out and it's a hitachi lcd. It take a 20 point flat ribbon.I just need to find a converter for it. There is an old post on this forum that I cant seem to find now >.< that there is one for sale on yahoo JP.

Anywhoo O.o Anyone know where I can get a 20 point flat ribbon converter? lol

I don't know if this is going to be any help, but most LCD panels do not have RGB or VGA standard connections. They are usually connected with differential digital signals similar to DVI or HDMI (but probably incompatible with either of those signals).

I don't know of any off-the-shelf converters that would do what you want to do, so you would probably have to make your own. The first step would be to find the part number of the LCD panel in the machine, and search for a manufacturers data sheet for the LCD panel and find out the signalling used. This is certainly not something to attempt if you are a beginner in electronics, it would be a major project for someone like me and I've been building electronics circuits since I was about 8 years old.

I think your best bet is a camera and tripod, and careful control of the ambient lighting...

I actually am meeting someone today who works on LCD screens. He was able to make a Nintendo DS Display on a tv screen so I think he can manage this. When I talked to him on the phone he sed the same thing as you,he will build me a separate cable.
Wich is great as I don't want to permanently mod the pachi.
I'll keep everyone updated as soon as some progress is made. Thanks again to everyone for the help and also the warm welcome ^_^
