    Default Help with nails

    Hi Pachi Pals,

I have worked with all of the traditional tools for gapping and adjusting Pahinko nails, but I find it simply TOO tedious (hammerring), so now I would like to find a set of nail-bending pliers.

Can anyone tell me which ones they use (or have used), and if they are happy with them? I need to start looking around.

I also have seen people "make their own" I am "up" for that as well, if you have plans/advice/technique you could share, that would be fantastic.

    All the best,
    RR

On YJA there are frequently nailbending tools. Also handy are the gauges with a ball on either end to set the clearance. Anyway nail bending tools are nice in that you can grab the whole nail without scratching
It or use just the end which allows u to bend the nail
right where it enters the play field. This is done by using one of the two slots machines into the tool.

    Thanks !

I just tried the "socket" handle trick and it worked! Not an exact science but it works !!

I am going to look on YJA for the tool emmadog described, to get a bit more control

Hey Owen... I need to find one of my Junky keys, to try your method ^_^__b

I use a hollow metal shaft I found in my parts bins. Fits perfectly over the nail, and gives enough leverage for slight or major bends.
