Hi, im just looking if someone can further exbound on if/how modding a pachislo violates the DMCA. I know modding an XBOX does violate that act but I would like any input on if modifying my Pachislo would result in the same violation. Thanks for any input.

It really depends on the mod. Adding volume controls, changing the graphics, etc. does not fall under the DMCA. Now if you got into something like reverse engineering the software, that could be a different story. What kind of mod did you have in mind?

Even if you got into the software and technically violated the DMCA, would the pachislo manufacturer care? Probably not. I can't see how any mod could cause them enough damage that they would invest the time and effort to go after you.
