Yes its defiantly not a CR frame, the CR version has big yellow buttons on the tray!! Sorry for the confusion.. Plus it looks like it came out in '94 not '98..

The light I refered to not lighting were ALL the lights. There is no illumination what so ever on the game until a ball is put in the start hole.
I'm still not sure there should be any lights before a ball goes in the start..But since the only video I've seen of this game while its not being played is of the screen area I of course can't be sure..Is it playing the spin music when you put a ball in the start pocket??

it seems odd to me for the balls to be stoped up there??? MrGneiss, does your frame have a wheel like that above the ball dump?
@Moparformances...Yes mine has the same wheel..I don't see anything odd about the balls on top, they seem normal to me??

But some things around that payout area may be different to mine so a close up of that area might be helpfull..

According to P-World, it came out in 98.

The star wheel above the payout mech releases when the upper hopper is full, prevents partial payouts if it's empty. Might not be sensing that the hopper is full.

I saw two different versions of this.
One has the paint brushes on it like this one,

    The other doesn't

So we have a possibilty that it needs reseting, or the low ball indicator isn't working , stopping the balls from going to the payout motor.

    The shooter isn't working either.

I would also try adjusting the pots on the B1f box. As these would probably be the sensitivity and force of the shooter. Is there anything interesting under the cover of B1f. Also make sure that its earthed correctly as well.

That second pic is a video game, they've enlarged the lcd screen for clarity of play.

Post your links, Stuey, I'm intrigued!

Ok, my computer didn't want to cooperate yesterday, so here are some of the (bad) pictures I promised!! I can try to take better ones if needed..

Well I guess everyone else was right the balls should be going much farther down!! Its been so long since I've seen the back of this one with balls in it..and I'm used to the payout motor being much higher..

Compirate, here are some of the sites...One thing I noticed is it seems like people are talking about CR a lot with this machine..was this one of the first CR machines or something??

anyway, here are the links..The first one I saw was just an arcade site so I thought it was wrong, but then 1994 was on every other page I looked at..maybe just a P-World typo??

MrGneiss... his balls are stuck or stoped at the center point... can you see on your machine what is at that point thqat would be stoping them???

not to beat the dead horse but his is jamed above the ball dump.. it cant be a default for not enought balls... the parlor would need to dump the weight for service...

Is it possible the machine thinks the lower trays are full so preventing any further payouts?

possable but still seems strange... based on location of jam/blockage

His balls seem to be stopped by the pointy wheel half way down..this is what he said...

Apparently there is a solinoid on the back side of the ball path that stopps the 7 pointed wheel from turning and that is what kept the balls from going all the way down to the pay out wheel.

I have gotten the balls all the way down to the payout wheel. The jam is taken care of. Ther is still no operation what so ever unless I manually insert a ball in thye start hole. Then the lights flash and some music plays and the lcd spins like a slot machine. Then everything stops, the "H" appears above the lcd. Nothing ever pays out and the shooter has never worked.

are there any fuses that you can see? Are there any cables not connected right? Are there any broken or pinched wires?

try wiggling and unplugging and re connecting as many cables as you can and see if that helps any

I am having a similar problem with my machine as well. The machine looks exactly the same as the ones posted here. I have the BF-1 control system and like I said it all looks the same. i just got my machine out of storage and plugged it in and everything came up as it should except the shooting mechanism is not working. I can put balls in the start holes and everything lights up and the payouts work but the shooter does not.

    Any Ideas?

I have loaded it with 6 to 700 balls and like I said all the payouts have worked when I place the balls in the slots. The only thing that doesn't work is the shooter.
