What we used on our machine that worked really well for cleaning most of the plastics was super clean which can found at most auto parts stores or Wal-Mart. The only thing with this is that before you use it you must dilute it with the same amount of water. Other wise you spray it on and let it sit a little bit then you come back and scrub all of the dirt away. at this point you could either rinse it off with water or do what we did and throw it into a sink full of simple green and water ratio 1:1. We let the part sit in this mixture for about 4 hours and then came back and scrubbed it. If it wasn't clean we put it back in and let it sit some more, otherwise if it was clean we just rinsed it off and then dried it. This system work really good at getting all of the tobacco off of the parts. This system also works for the un-chromeplated metal parts. The only downside to doing this is you have to go and remove all of the parts and that the super clean is kind of expensive (however if you have a lot of parts to clean it’s a great buy).
