Default Discovered New Pachi Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

I thought the only thing Obsessive-Compulsive about pachislos was buying them. Well, today I realized that there's a whole new Pachi OCD.

Once you get enough of them (theoretically 3 would be enough) you begin trying to find the best way to arrange them. This sneaks up on you. I just realized that for the last several weekends I've spend a considerably amount of time rearranging my machines for maximum visual impact. And of course, once you get them "perfect" a new machine comes into the mix and you have to start all over.

The combinations (and decisions) are almost endless. Do you group them by manufacturer? How about putting all the ones with video screens together? Or all the ones with 6 reels?

It was a difficult job, but I finally got it done. They are now perfect.

But I've got 3 new machines coming in next week! With 36 machines I can arrange them 3.719933267899E+41 different ways (that's 36 x 35 x 34... etc.) Toss a dozen neons that need to be matched up with the machines and and the number of combinations jumps to 1.2413915592536E+61.

    That's approximately 1,240,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,00 0,000,000,000,000,000 different combinations. It's going to be a long week. :smt101

ive also had this problem gwarzin i arrange mine in the order that ive got them, but im constantly moving them an inch this way or an inch that way just so that i can try to fit one or two more machines in my bedroom. Since im limited to placing these machines in only my bedroom i was forced tonight to get rid of my old regular 19 inch bedroom tv and replace it with a 600 20 inch flat screen tv just so i could fit another 1-2 machines in my room

    You are too funny! :smt046

I have diagnosed myself with OCD, so when it come to things like this, with math calculations with exponents, I have a very simple way to get around the OCD. I simply will line them up in the order they were purchased. No decision making, no worrying about all LCD together, etc...

Plus it keeps me from pulling my hair out! (the little I have left)

Alternate them by $ paid from opposite sides of the room. That way the carpet will get evenly tracked up everywhere! :-)

Maybe one day, I will have enough machines to have this problem. Please, Please, Please -I hope.

I wish you hadn't asked that. I can no longer use the GigaFever because of that. But, I ain't OCD!
