Newbie ** Machine is stuck at 2 on pay out NEED HELP PLEASE!!

So I picked up this machine for almost nothing, knowing that it needed some work. The machine is stuck on "2" on the payout. All the lights come on, but thats about it. If you try to put a coin in the slot, it just comes back in the return tray. I have tried to reset it following the directions inside the machine, but it did nothing. Everything on the inside is in Japanese. I really want to get this thing working. How To Set the Skill Levels of Your Pachislo
HOW CHANGE ODDS:

"TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"

1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key.
Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.

2. Turn "reset" key switch to on, to access programming mode.

3. Turn on machine now.

4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door.

5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.

6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.

7. Turn "reset" key back to off.

8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

sounds like the spin knob is not locking in the reset. I would check the spin knob and buttons and make sure none of them are stuck. Look for the leds on the inside of the door. Also I can't tell what kind of machine that is with the custom belly glass but all resets are pretty similar.

It acts like the coin accepter sensor needs to be cleaned or the coin flap is sticking. open the door and insert a token and see if the flap is opening,then closing. It will be a clicking sound made by the electro magnet switch. check the wire connections .

Thanks for all the help, it is working now!! I have two more quick questions;

1 - When I do try to change the Odds, it never changes from "2" when I follow those directions. Could something else be going on?

2 - Anyone know where to buy, or how to make, new Graphics inserts for the machine? Mine are all faded, and I would like to find some new ones. I want to keep the Red Sox theme if possible.

Are you pushing the correct reset button to change the settings from1 to 6 on the led display.

As far as the graphics go they are not the original design for that machine, but were changed.You could try a local sign shop or a print shop for new graphics. they would be printed to be applied to the inside of the plex belly glass. In printing terms it is called the 2nd surface .It isn't too hard to strip the old graphics off. I hope that helps .

I got the parts open to where the graphic are, I assume they need to be printed on that same thin plastic material?

As for the odds changing, i am pressing the reset button, or at least what is labeled as such. I have also tried all the skill buttons on the front. What are the two colored buttons and switches that are near the main power switch? It is all in japanese.

usially customs are a printed sheet between two thin pieces of clear plastic for the belly glass.

all you need to do is get a new grafic sheet printed on heavy glossy paper

Take a look at the printed circuit boards in the Pachi. Especially the mother board in the back of the machine above the Reels. Let us know if there is a name on any of them such the Names listed in the left hand row of "Brands" listed on this link. :

Knowing the Company that made it will also help us figure out your

There may be a reset button on the door itself ,its usually just a little flat round button .

I tried the little black reset button on the door too. When I get home later I will check for the information on the manufacturer.

This is telling me you have not done a full reset yet. the reset button is used for a soft reset like after clearing a hopper full or a coin jam. You need to do a full reset with the key. Follow the instructions in Dattia's post #2. as far as the switches

Two switches on the power supply:
- One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
- The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

無 = off

有 = on

Iam glad to hear you got it working, These machines mostly just need good cleanings once in a while and make sure the connections stay tight.Most of the buttons are for reseting hopper jams or coin jams, nothing serious.We are here to help any way we can.
