    Default Electrocoin Super Mog Mog

    Hello,
I recently got my first machine, an Electrocoin Super Mog Mog. I can't find much information about this model. I need to replace some bulbs. The panel bulbs have "Toshiba V-2" written on them. Are these 24 volt bulbs? Where can I get them? Also, some of the lights behind the reels need replacing, but it looks like I will have to remove the reels to get at them. Is this complicated, or is it something a beginner can pull off? Any information on this model would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hmmm... I've never heard of that model. Is it possible to post a pic or two?

I can't help with the technical stuff, but I know that many have changed out bulbs on other machines including those behind the reels. I don't think it is too hard, but lining them up correctly when putting them back is critical for accurate game play and payoffs. I'm not sure how much the machines vary in removing the reels, but you can read up on what others have done by searching terms such as "reel removal" or "changing bulbs" until someone else jumps in here to help you out.

The machine works perfectly, other than a few lights being out, which is why I don't want to tamper with the reels until I learn more. I was hoping it could be done without removing the reels, but from looking at it, I don't see how. As far as the bulbs in the V-2 sockets on the front are concerned, are those easy to get? I e-mailed one site about them, but never got a reply. They had them on their site, but I couldn't find a price. Thank you to everyone who has responded here, the information you have shared thusfar has been very helpful to me. I am completely new to this, and have a lot to learn.

It looks like a few of the bulb sockets are missing. the wedge base bulbs, you can get at .Slot Machines-Pachinko Machine Sales, Parts and Service or stealthhomeamusment.com they might even have the sockets for the bulbs. If you decide to remove the reels , make sure to mark them 1,2,3 from left. They lookas if they are seperate units. they might be led lights in the reels, you won't know till you can look inside of one. AnywayWelcome to pachitalk. We are glad to help anyway we can.

I found that with a little patience, I was able to replace the bulbs behind the reels without removing the reels. There is just enough room to get a finger behind there on each side, and twist the v-2 socket out. It is much trickier getting them back in, but by putting some double-sided tape on the back of the socket, it is possible to maneuver the light back into recepticle. The machine is much more enjoyable with all the lights working. I sincerely appreciate the advice I have received here, as I am new at this. Thank you all.

    hi,
I came across a super mog mog game and it seems to be having a problem with the reels stopping after I hit the buttons. It will spin for about a minute or two before stopping on its own. Is there any advice, comments, suggestions to try out before trying to start replacing parts?

    Thanks!
