have ya tryed a full reset???

In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens or credits
being played. Locate internal toggle switch (red tipped or silver with on/off tabs)
or insert key into internal key switch (if your machine came with 2 keys).
Machine must be turned OFF. Turn key clockwise or flip reset toggle switch to
the "ON" or "ODDS" position. Turn main power switch ON to access
    programming mode.
A number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on the CREDIT meter on the front door or
on a display inside the door. Locate the reset button. This will be located on
your power supply. On SAMMY brand models, the button is on the inside of the
    door only.
Depress the button and notice movement of number being displayed on the
credit meter. Once the desired level is displayed (1 to 6) pull "spin reels" handle
(black or red knob on front door) down, like you are going to spin the reels, to
lock odds level into machine memory. Turn key switch back or flip toggle to
"OFF" or "PLAY" position. Machine should immediately initialize. You will know
the machine initialized if the "Insert Medal" light starts flashing. If not, make sure
you remembered to press down the "SPIN REELS" lever.
If it still doesn't initialize, turn power to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and
turn power switch back to ON position.

I have a Sammy Animal Kingdom and have done the full reset and checked the motor on the hopper and still no payout. I realize about the 50 tokens and such. When I hit a big winner the bells and whistles go off like it is paying out and then I get a HC error code, but no payout. I was curious as to what the two lugs on the inside back of the machine are for. They each have a wire going to the power area. Is there supposed to be a ground going to the hopper frame or something? I have included pictures of the wires. I don`t know if this will help but the two leds on the front of the switch area have never lit. They are above the two 6 amp fuses???

The 2 lugs are used to complete a simple circuit in an overflow tray that is used in the parlors.
You can ignore them as they are not needed and do not interfere in any way.
It is possible that a fuse is out causing the hopper not to work. Just take out your fuses and test them with a meter.
Your hopper may have dirty contacts or dust or dirt built up in it. give it a good cleaning. make sure you reconnect it
    to the power supply carefully.
Check the tokens for bent or dented ones. That may also be your trouble. They can jam or slow the hopper causing your error.

It sounds like your hopper is jammed or the contacts need to be cleaned and the sensor needs to be cleaned also. Take the hopper out and give it a good cleaning on the rotor and the feed out channel. It is usually an easy fix.

the machine doesnt see any coins passing by the sensor when it should be paying out . if the hopper is turning and spitting coins or no coins are being ejected remove the hopper and take the hopper apart and clean the sensor (mounted somewhere in the coin path ) just wipe it off with a soft cloth dont use windex or any other type cleaner it shouldnt be needed. Some machines mostly older ones have a mechanical arm that activates a switch (some optical some just a micro switch) every time a coin goes through it hits the arm activating the switch .over time this arm gets stuck and doesnt snap back for the next token and the machine doesnt see it so it keeps turning sending out more tokens then its suppose to till it errors. lubricate that arm and it should move freely .Also check the wiring to the sensors and the hopper and look for any bad pins or broken wires.check all your fuses and put a hand full of tokens in the hopper and manually turn the wheel it should spin and eject tokens faily easily if its not turning freely you may need to take out the wheel and lubricate the assembly so that it does silicone spray works well for this . reinstall the hopper and try it again . The two pins you mentioned are for coin overflow as mentioned but they do matter to the machine make sure the pins do not touch in any way or you will receive an error that was meant for the attendant to empty the machine that it was over filled. This problem can be overcome easily by removing the wire from one of the pins and taping it up with electrical tape then you can forget about them forever .
