    Default regarding tokens

Does using used tokens affect your playing experience compared to using new tokens?
Some vendors of newly minted tokens infer it's a better gaming experience.
Also, have you ever played with golden tone tokens?
    Is that any funner?
I only have experience with pachinko balls so far.

I don't think used or new matters near as much as clean or dirty.
Seems to me that the feel of dirty tokens in my hand spoils my fun and they surely funk up the guts of your machine.
They also make my hands dirty and smelly.

There are many posts and threads on how to clean tokens. Dishwasher and washing machine with the tokens either in socks or mesh bags or just in the silverwre trays in the dishwasher are a few along with tumbling machines with various mediums used. Some members take a 5 gallon bucket with dish soap and agitate it manually. I have both brass, copper color and silver, some of the silver are all alike and others are mixed types. They all play the same, but I separate the brass token machines from the copper and the silver machines. I don't like mixing token types in my machines, but any token will work in any of my machines . Sometimes the grandkids mix them all up and I have to dump and separate types and restock according to type. Just my preference.

My pachislo came with used tokens, but they were dull and well used. I agree with needing to clean them as the casinos they come from tend to be highly smokey and that residue and who knows what else sticks to the tokens and would make your fingers feel icky. Although the pachislo came with plenty, I bought a bunch of new golden slot cherries. Since the room is kind of piratey, the gold coins look better in a barrel than the silver. The machine is loaded with the gold and I tell people to only use the gold. Some day I may get another pachislo and break down and use the silverish ones.

Just like others have said using used or new tokens doesn't affect playing experience. You definitely want any token to be clean, because believe me the nasty coating of parlor grime that gets on your hands after handling dirty ones is gross. Some prefer gold over silver or all of one design to mixed designs. Just be careful when buying any new ones that are not authentic pachislo parlor tokens, because some will not work in all pachislo machines due to the metal content.
