Default Need advice on pachinko purchase

Hello all. I've been eyeballing this post on craigslist recently but I've only had experience with my old sankyo machine that I'm cleaning up. Vancouver is pretty dry when it comes to finding pachinkos that's why it caught my eye.

    Here's the link:
Modern Heiwa Pachinko Machine - Mint Condition

The seller is looking for $200 obo but I have no idea what a modern pachinko is worth. From what I've been browsing antique ones only seem to fetch between $50-100 in fixer-upper shape. Any advice? Thanks!

Hello, I'm not too good with offering advice on value, as being in the UK I know I paid a lot for my own modern pachinkos years ago compared to the market today and also the market in US etc, so i will leave other members to help with that

I do however think I can identify the pachinko for you, it looks to me like it is Lupin III from 2005??

    Hello,

I would say you should find out how many balls it comes with. If it is less then 1500 to 2000 then you will need to buy more balls for it and that the machine is a little over priced. If it has that many balls, it is an OK deal. I have purchased modern machines for as little as $140 and as much as $300. I hope this helps.

Dont under estimate the value of having balls

His add says make him an offer... my advice would be.. if your willing to buy it for the $200 asking price. then make the time to go look at it... and make your offer in person.. cash in had will lower his asking price...

if $200 is way more thne ya can afford make the offer over the net... but rember its really easy to type the word NO.. harder to say it in person

NOOO... He sold it. I was off by a day, darn school and job hunting got in the way. Although another two just popped up in my area I'm hoping I get them, both are antique ones.

There is ALWAYS another machine - it may not seem like it at the time, but patience always wins.

Yeah... I didn't end up buying them. They were quite nice machines. One was a Sankyo that I got excited over because it had the exact same back as my birds one. The other one was an Idol I think. Kinda seemed weird, haven't heard of that brand and it had a very strange back to it. Reminded me of a model B that I've seen on the internet. Thanks for the imput all! Back to the birds! P.S. (Did the forums get changed? Everything looks different...) And if I missed the news updatew well then
