I did see the one at the Chicago natural history meusem when i was a kid too, i thought it was really neat, but didn't have the urge to recreate it
House on the Rocks in Wisconsin had a similar setup back in the 70's and I was at a mall somewhere many years ago that was designed like an old country town.
