I have noticed that whenever something really good appears on craigs it often gets flagged for removal very quickly. I came to the opinion that people are doing that so they can try to get it and not have anyone else asking for it.

I have responded to some ads with really good deals using the anonymous email link, only to get spam email advertisements in return. It appears some people post "too good to be true" ads so that people will respond, and the 'seller' in turn can send you unwanted advertisements and sell your email address. When I encounter those ads, I flag them.

Other times I have posted items that I am giving away, or even selling for a low price just to get rid of the item, someone will flag my ad for some unknown reason and it gets removed. I never know why, so I wait a day and repost. Perhaps some people flag ads simply to feel powerful and/or malicious, while others may think I am a spammer.

there seem to be some people on cl who don't have jobs, and sit at the computer all day,and flag everything they can because they have nothing better to do.that's the way it seems around here.i have had ads flagged for no reason.
