stop buttons wont stop wheels

wheels won't stop when buttons are pressed!
I just bought our first slot machine. Love it...we used it on Christmas and the day after. All was well. worked great. Then we went to use it the day after and when we put in coin, then tried to stop the wheels...none of the buttons will stop it. It will run for about 30-45 seconds and then all of a sudden it will stop. Or you have to shut of the machine and turn it back on and then the wheels stop.
My husband looked at it and it seems that the buttons are not making the solenoid interrupt the wheel or stop them.
Has anyone had this problem

These are perty hearty machines... the one thing that usualy fixes them is unpluging and repluging in any and all of the plugs you can find.. and look really close at the plugs around the buttons... and any of the coards that connect from the door side to the inside of the Pachislo.. the action of opening and closing the door can work a plug loose..

is your joystick centering poroperly have you tried pressing it up or down and is the wiringfrom it connected .

check the wires from the buttons too.

what machine is this ? pictures of the inside and out side help allot . are all the reels spinning at about the same speed ? do the stop buttons light up ? . also on the inside of the machine usually on the left side wall there is a small card about 3"x5" it has a fuse on it this board is the reel stop board .is that fuse good ? also cleaning the stop buttons is a good idea spray windex on a paper towel then hold in a stop button then wipe the inside of the switch body while holding the switch in .do the same for all three stop buttons as well as the bet buttons .

It acts like it has a loose connection either at the pull knob, or the reel stop circuit board,the one about3x5 size.Try cleaning the contacts with alcohol.It was working then not working. Something has worked loose.

Well i went over the machine and everything is plugged in nice and snug.
I looked at the circuit board again. There is a small fuse at the bottom. I managed to get it out and the machine is doing the same thing.
So I think it is the fuse.
Now where will I find a fuse like that. I cannot see a size or amp on it...i believe is says "japan"...mmm

Most hardware stores carry buss fuses or radio shack. It should be about a 10 amp fuse. Take the fuse with you and match it with another .You should be able to tell the amps.

It should be about a 10 amp buss fuse.You can find them at hardware stores or radio shack. Just take it with you and match it up to a new one to figure out the amps. I hope that solves the problem, it is usually a simple fix on these machines.

i would buy a couple radio shack does carry them .the usual cause for this problem is a short on the reel stop card (most likely a cap is shorted ) .how ever a short in the wiring could also cause this as well especially around the door hinge area . pictures of the card will help . the good part is there's only about 4 or 5 types of these cards so there pretty easily replaced but a photo of the card is necessary to id the card .

I would take the blown fuse with you to radio shack. Show it to the staff to make sure you get the right rating.

Thanks to everyone! It was a fuse, but I think that is need the surounding cleaned. I put a new 1 amp fuse and Bingo!
Thank goodness I found you guys...
I love these machines...
I now own 3 now...and all of them are all different.
I bought one but ...I need to change to tokens cause the other two are tokens. if someone uses or a token in the wrong machine then it jams it.
the last one I bought is a George win...love the screen and is very loud! lol
Ok...i am off to sin some tokens!!!
