    Default what is a pachislo???????

Hello all. before I forget... Ty David R. I am from Indiana and I would like to own a "slot machine" but In indiana they are illegal and if ya get caught its murder. lol.... Even if I am the only one that is gonna use it. I was told that pachislo machines are simular and are ok in Indiana as long as its token only in and token only out. Enough of BS... Are the pachislo machines pretty much the same as a slot machine? for example, if you get    on one line it "pays" out so much in tokens? or if you get 8-) 8-) 8-) on one line it "pays" out more? someone please let me know what these things are all about tyvm.... if you would like to "show off" your machine please send pics to M-L-Z-Brassine@insightbb.com I would appreciate seeing what these contraptions look like and if they have a "pay off" scale be sure to send a pic of that too!!!!!!!!!! thanks alot guys and gals.... mike

Hello Mike and WELCOME to PachiTalk.....
Short answer to your questions, these are similar to USA Slot Machines but you have to stop each reel one at a time. Different machines have different payout amounts but more or less the    match you mention is correct, some wins pay tokens and some are a win for an extra play. To fully understand these machines better I'd suggest you just start reading all the messages that have been posted. That's what I did when I first joined and I learned a bunch of stuff!! I even go back and reread some of the messages cause I'm old and have memory lapses!!
I never liked the one armed bandits very much but I love Pachislo Machines. I have several and each is different - they are all fun to play. I like Pachinko Too, much more exciting than the regular flipper style pinball machines.
In addition to reading the postings here on the front page here there are links to various websites. You'll find a lot of info on those too.One excellent site is http://www.bigbearpachisloshop.com/ use the links on left side of the page when you get there, I'd start with the products link and check out all the different machines he has reviewed. Hope this helps!!

Where in Indiana are you? If you are in the Indianapolis area you can look at some pachislos at the Brenner Luggage super store near I65 and I465 in the Castleton area. Also the Furniture Warehouse across from Castleton Mall. The Furniture Warehouse down by Washinton Square has a larger selection.

But don't buy from any of those places. Their machines tend to be the more basic (less interesting to play) models and for what you pay for them you could get a really good machine on-line or on eBay.

    Welcome, Mike!

Another excellent site to learn about Pachislos and how to play them is here at Big Bear Pachislo Shop: http://www.bigbearpachisloshop.com/

Click on "Pachislo World" over to the left side and go from there. You'll learn a lot. :smt023

    Scooby,
Welcome to our little slice of imported heaven!
    Pachislo is a slot machine
It looks similar to the american version, but it is imported from Japan. The Japanese have different laws regarding gambling than we do so the play is slightly different.
The biggest difference is unlike the American slots you have to push a button for each reel to stop. These machines can range from the plain and ordinary (spin reels, stop reels, see if you win) to the more complex machines that will play with you and tease you, for instance the King Camel machine (that can be gotten for a decent price) read my review of it here:
    http://www.pachitalk.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=468
I highly recomend this machne for the fun factor.
Each machine will have it's own personality (unlike most american slots that do the same thing over and over with different pictures).
Some machines will want you to stop the reels in a certain order, some will have extra interaction games via an LCD video screen, some will use an LED screen, others will just do it with different colored lights or light patterns.

Be warned that this is an addictive hobby, and only a couple of the machines play similar to others. The basics are the same for all, but each model will have something unique to it that the others don't have.

The best advice I can give someone who is first starting out is to:
    1) DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Look around the board, read the reviews.
    2) Decide how much you are gonna spend before you start shopping.
    3) Find a theme that you like, if you have certain hobbies then you might find one to go with that.
    4) Don't rush off and buy one without asking for opinions from the group here. Those of us who have been here awhile have dealt with most dealers, You will get advice upon advice here. Everyone has an opinion, read them and then make your decisions.
    5) Don't afraid to ask questions and/or express your opinions that is why we are here.
    6) and most imprtant of all.... HAVE FUN

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.
