Hallelujah brother D. If you find them let me know
I didn't mean to confuse U. I just thought member jjhofer was referring to a Continental III pachislo machine. I know it's fun sticking your hand in a overflow hole but some folks (myself included) like going through the front door

    Hi Cardwwi,

Did anything come of your plans to get keys made?

I'd love to get hold of one for my Heiwa.

I realise you don't need the key, but I'd love to be able to access the workings from the front, rather than via the cabinet if at all possible.

    Many thanks,
    Julia

If there's ever an update, I'm looking for a key for a Nishijin I just was given to restore. ( it's my new fall project.

I am sorry to say that the lock smith who was making the keys for me was let go. That just sucks, get sick then get fired! But on the up side he got a job with a contractor who is doing work for the same people who let him go. Now for the down side I don't see him any more.

I may be able to help you out. It all depends on what type of lock it is. I have figured out how to make keys for ONLY Nishijin's

I haven't tried one of the magnetic locks yet. But Cardwwi has and he has a thread on it.

    here is the thread:
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...-nishijin.html

If you send him a pm he might be able to make one for you (seeing he has the master copy)

mxfaiman, have you made a thread about this?
I have a 1979 Nishijin that I'd like to make a "sealed" cabinet for, but I'd have to solve the lock problem first. I was considering opening up the existing lock and see if I can modify it so any bent metal that would fit the angled key slot would open it. Possibly remove the tumbler actuators and springs if it uses any... like was done on my Pachislo machine lock.
