    Default Pachinko Book 2 /Nails

So here is the second pachinko related book I received. It too is a history of the evolution of pachinkos and also the laws governing these machines. It's not a picture book like my other book although there are some black and white pics of various machines as well as pics of tulips, center features, etc., and how those work and have changed over time.
Also, I received a bunch of nails so if anybody needs a few, just PM me.

Are those the same size nails used in the play field?

Yes, I compared them to nails on several of my machines and they are a match.

Emmadog, I sent a PM to you, could use a few of those nails. I gave the quantity in the PM, 3 or 4 if you can spare them. I have a few missing on mine. Doesn't make a lot of sense that some were removed, unless it was done once the Pachinko was stateside, I would think the parlors would want ALL of them in! I can ask my brother in law sometime, he is the one I believe brought them back. Could have bought it from another serviceman I suppose..

Nails are nails right? I'd assume its how far you nail them in. I'd be interested in a pack. Can you actually pick them up that easily from YJA?

I was lucky enough to find a copy of that books as well.
    Lots of great pictures.
I don't see many of the 80's machines shown around.
Was there a lull in exporting them when they switched to an electric shooter?

it is quite a beautiful book. i've got the first 17 pages translated and will have up to page 34 done soon. mudfud and i are working on this to get it all done and then post it on here for all. no timeline though. she's busy and i'm always traveling.
that's a good question about the exporting of these machines. it's another part of pachinko history i'd like to know more about.

A reminder that some of the vintage machines in this book I have already added to the User Gallery here on PT sometime back, along with the names and general Japanese prices (where available):

There is always another machine around the corner...
