Default Fuji "Lucky": Any idea what kind of a Pachi this is?

Well, I tried to buy this machine over Craigslist, but was unsuccessful. The seller sent me pics, but absolutley wouldn't ship. I posted a thread looking for someone in the area to help me facilitate the purchase, but found out several other members in that area were trying to buy it as well, so I deferred to them. Alas, it appears that none of our members were successful.

So I thought I would post the pictures I received and see if anyone knows anything about this coin operated vintage machine. It almost looks like an all mechanical Arepachi to me, but then again I do not have an Arepachi to compare it to. Interesting none the less!!

Has anyone seen one of these before?

The more I look the more that is missing. Their are no electrical parts whatsoever shown. The coin unit I do not think will function without power and their is no computer boards shown. Maybe I am looking at this wrong???

The pictures I received are quite large - 3.5 MB each. I studied them up close and there is nothing missing from the back or the front of the machine. It is all mechanical. In fact, it looks like it's brand new!! I'm not sure what all of the square buttons across the front are for, but I imagine they release the balls once they arrive in the correct pocket/slot.

I'm really curious about the guage on the lower left of the play field. Do you think that tells the player how many credits they have?

Maybe someone can traslate the labels at the top of the frame to give us a better idea about what the machine does.

    Quite interesting...

    Here is my guess...

the balls actually "fill" the green board area. once you get a full collum, you can press the release button below to relese the colum. the full column then goes to the center hole, and down the green slide in front of the machine...if the weight or count of balls is correct, then it will release a win amount. if not, then the balls are dumped to the back of the machine. as you can see, there is no hopper, The balls played are the balls won if you get a full column. It's not like a modern pachinko where you buy 100 balls and try to win 10,000. I think you buy a certain amount of balls and you score with how many columns/rows you can fill.

    That is my thought.

    Yes, it's a Jankyu.

I'm just down the road but didn't see it until yesterday. The seller didn't even return my emails.

Alrighty, someone close by that wants a finder's commission PM me. I emailed the seller after reading of Jack's unsuccessful attempt. I just offered him a generous price to sway his reluctance to ship. If he responds and still doesn't want to ship then I'll pay someone to pick it up and ship it. This machine needs to be in the P-Talk family.

It does look to be a really interesting machine and it would be great to have it in the PachiTalk family, then hopefully we can all learn how this one works and add to the knowledge base

4 or 5 years ago I actually used to see these and more modern mahjong games on ebay every once in a while, but by the time I knew what they were I never saw another one!!

I had also offered him a generous amount for the machine to offset the shipping hassle, but he only wanted to deal on the local level - cash & carry.

I also verified that the machine was already sold.

Listing has been pulled. I guess that's the end.

If a PT member got it, please come forward! I want to know more about this machine.

I never saw the original post or the asking price, but with emmadog wanting it it would of went quite high.

The more I look at the pictures I have reached the deduction that it must be a recylcler that when you finally get enough balls in a row you push the button and it gives you back a coin. One wonders how many balls were suppose to be played and if when you drop a token in it looks like you lose all of the balls you had stacked. Quite a different type of machine. Kind of reminds me of a very old single shot with no electricity. Quite a find.

Logic says that it went to a someone local to it and probably a member on here.
Yep cash usually does a good job of overcoming reluctance but some people ( frequently old folks) don't have or trust wiring money or using PayPal so no matter what is offered, it's a non starter.
Alright time to once again go and spend too much money on an arrange ball. No doubt a PM from LT is inbound as per this sentence!!!
