I'd love to have vintage in my collecting, Something for my father to play. But find me one I like at a good price.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

If one is to know the pachi, one must embrace all facets of the pachi!

    "Be One With The Pachi!!"

I have a 70's (vintage), but I'd quite like one that is modern/pre-modern, so there's lights and moving parts, but no video screen etc

Let's just face the facts now. You'll eventually want to own several of each like most of the weirdos here

I started vintage, got a hankering for moderns, and, in the end, ended up liking the vintages most. So much endless tinkering to be had. I really am enjoying the transition machines, if I can call them that. For example, there are single shots with a multi-shot conversion. There are electomechanical machines that are pretty much like a standard vintage but with a few solenoids that make them do groovy things. The PowerRoulette is cool, which is barely something resembling solid state but must have been mind blowing when they first showed up on the scene... oh so many varieties, which is why one must keep collecting until they are stacked to the ceiling and the family tells everyone you're nuts.
