Default My new 'early modern' Kyoraku

Well even though I really don't have the space, I just couldn't resist buying this Kyoraku Pachinko, I don't have anything of this era, I only have Modern Moderns with LCD's etc, and a couple of Vintages

But I was given the 'heads up' on this one by a fellow PachiTalker who realised it was only about 15-20 minutes away from me. So i went to collect it last night

It is in need of a thorough cleaning though, thick dust / dirt over it all and lots of cobwebs and dead spiders residing in it. The cell is very vibrant and I was surprised that the plastics were not faded or paint worn off

Only had chance to give it a quick test last night, and the shooter works, the lights & Sounds work and the centrepiece and all the tulips work

Not sure about pay-outs yet, I don't know anything about the way these particular models work, and I'm also thinking there are more balls jammed inside it, I know the tulips had balls jammed in them which we managed to get out

When my camera is charged up, i will be able to take pics of the back, as I am hoping someone with a similar model can help me suss out what may be missing?

I know I have seen a couple of pachinkos with the same cell art but with different centerpieces and tulips.
I think it is what we here are calling an Early Modern (please correct me if I got it wrong )

Well the 'bedroom ext' has permission passed, it will be a Pachi Games Room mostly though, when it gets built

The first 3 pics are the Sellers pics and very washed out colours, the last pic is my own and is truer to the bright vibrant colour it actually is

And if you think the colours are loud then you should hear the Sirens Sounds it makes when the centrepiece is lit

and thanks again for heads-up on this one

Have fun with it! AND have fun with the construction! I am construcrion/civil engineer and I tend to fight with contractors for a living so if you have any questions feel free to ask me!

Its a good thing that there is a delay in the machines coming that I ordered because I have to redo MY part of my basement thats going to house my machines..

Once again congrats on the machine and enjoy!

Really love the look and style of this pachinko Just tried a little cleaning on it and got the chrome trim and door piece removed and gave it a quick clean and amazed how much a difference it makes, I did take pics of the chrome but the pics were no good

I can also see 2 bells but have yet to hear them, so I presume they work when a payout occurs?? So far I have heard 2 different LOUD Wee-Wee-Wee-Wee siren sounds which are fun and made us all jump a little when first heard

I'm hoping there is someone with the same model / workings as this that could perhaps post a couple of pics of the back or let me know if anything is missing or not right with my own??

Also i would really love if anyone could explain what should be happening when playing, I have never played a modern of this era and so I'm not sure what is normal, but need to first sort out what may be missing from the rear

Looking at it briefly last night, it seems one wire linkage is missing at the left hand side (hopper empty?) and possibly there is another along the bottom??
Any info or advice much appreciated

Yepper sweetness your missing the rod that connects the upper prize ball tray to the lower control lever that stops the balls from the front supply tray from feeding in the machine when the top tray in back is empty .

I used a metal coat hanger unbent and a couple washers and a matching metal screw with nut to secure the rod and mine works great after a little "tweeking "

I just picked up a similar machine, and cannot get the balls to the shooter. I'll start a help thread, and later take some pics of the back for you.

looks like it should work as a normal vintage..

the balls should ring or clang as the 13 winning balls fall over the top of them.. the jackpot should cycle exactly the same as your comet machine.. (its hard to see threw that red plastic..

as for the electronics.. im guessing threre is a solonoid in there somewhere to open all or part fo the tulips at the same time (during some combication).. then the speakers will make noise during the payouts as well.. and to make siren noise during errors and if the machine thinks your cheating.. and possable low ball siren as well..

i can see the red plastic is held in place with friction pins and ya sould be able to remove it with a simple pinch...

    hope this helps

and also like Rich stated your low ball rod is missing..

The backs are a little different, but this is the low ball rod on my machine.

edit: tough to see, but it is the coat hanger like rod that is in between the clear 'track.' Goes from the ball tray to another cam below.

    Hi Hanabi - congrats!

Your machine says 'Open BiG' - and that appears to be the name. Sharmoni's machine was 'Bomber' and a '10' stamped after it - possibly also the model name, or could be a stamp for some other part and not related. One thing for sure - you have 2 different machines there with the same backboard design (pretty common, as you know).

It is a Modern machine - it has an electronic ball shooter right? Early modern is my guess - early to mid 80's would be about right, going on others I've seen.

Does it have wings that open in the middle? It's probably a hanemono then if so - can you describe your play action? Remember it could be entirely different play action to Sharmoni's 'Bomber', even though it looks similar. His centrepiece is clearly different.
There is always another machine around the corner...

Thank you all for the helpful info!!

Well last night we took a good look at the rear of the pachinko and as suspected there was a HUGE ball jam, which took quite a time to clear, my goodness there were pachinko balls a plenty all over the kitchen floor by the time we had finished with it

Previously we had removed balls that were stuck in the tulips and I suspect a previous owner has carried on playing and playing till at least one of these got totally backed up

We popped the little cover to see further inside and by a process of jiggling levers and gently shaking and manipulating the machine, then manually activating the payouts by dropping a ball in each tulip etc, we were able to run a fresh amount of balls through to clear the jam

I am very pleased that it pays out now and the lights flash and bells ring. As the front chrome & door is still off for the moment (it was late by the time it was sorted) I have not been able to check the gameplay yet

I will post and describe what is happening with mine so we can compare the play, but I can say that it does not have those moving wing things in the centre that Sharmoni's has. I know that one ball in the top hole of the centre feature only opens the bottom centre tulip and I think a ball in the second hole opens them all, but I really need to have a good play when it's complete to be certain of all that is happening

Thanks to all for your help and thanks candyflip for the name of the machine also
