    Default Pachi Hunting in Georgia

Left about twenty days ago and picked up to Pachislo for mopar in Pocatello, Idaho. He was just trying to get rid of them and so a good deal is a good deal. Except the better half was not to happy with all of the room they took up in the van. Had about 3000 tokens with them.

Back in April their was an ad on Craigs list I called and talked to the owner. He said he would ship it but I told him about my bad experiences with shipping. I mentioned I would be in Georgia in June and he said Ok he would bring it up to Georgia for me from florida. He took it off of Craigs list before I could even get a copy of the picture to show to Mopar.

I called him and we meant today in the middle of Georgia. He wanted me to make sure I still wanted it before I paid him and I told him I was buying it.

This will be a new adventure for Mopar and me.
Number one it has no key and something is a little jammed in the lock where someone has tried to get into it. He stated that they had had it for fifteen years and all it did was set. Will be home with it in about a week and then will try and get it cleanned up. It is a great white shark.

Eddie if you have any ideas on the lock or could send me a key would be glad to pay whatever. If anyone else has any ideas on the lock please let me know. For Twenty five dollars it was well worth the pickup.

Well Not too many Arepachi's running loose out their and this is about as close as I could get. It takes quarters too play and give credits. Should be interesting to play.

Talking Re: Pachi Hunting in Georgia

The LT. went down to Georgia
He was lookin' for a Pachi to steal
He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind
And he was willin' to make a deal

When he came across this young man
playin' on a pachi and playin' it hot
And the LT. jumped up on a hickory stump
And said, "Boy, let me tell you what"

I guess you didnt know it
But I'm a Pachi player too
And if you care to take a dare
I'll just make a bet with you"

"Now you play a pretty good pachi, boy
But give the LT. his due
I'll bet a pachi of gold against your soul
Is to think I'm better than you"

The boy said, "My name's Johnny
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your' bet, you're gonna regret
Cause I'm the best there's ever been"

Johnny polish up your balls and play your pachi hard
'Cause hell's broke loose in Georgia and the LT. deals the cards
And if you win you get this shiny Pachi made of gold
But if you lose the LT. gets your soul

The LT. opened up his van
And he said, "I'll start this show"
And fire flew from his fingertips
As as he got his pachi ready for the show

And then he pulled down the lever
And it made an evil hiss
    And then Mopar joined in
And it sounded something like this

    When the LT. finished
Johnny said, "well you're pretty good old son
But just sit down in that chair right there
Let me show you how its done

Fire on the mountain, run boys, run
The LT.'s in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in the bread pan pickin' at dough
Granny does your dog bite? No child, no

    The LT. bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat
And he laid that golden Pachi
On the ground at Johnny's feet

Johnny said, "LT.,just come on back
If you ever wanna try again
I done told you once you son of a gun
I'm the best there's ever been"

He played, 'Fire on the Mountain', run boys, run
The LT.'s in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in the bread pan pickin' at dough
Granny does your dog bite? No child, no

"I've stopped fighting my inner demons, we are on the same side now."

As for a key... If it is like mine you will have a lock on the back for serviceing the machine, I would work on that one first because you can replace that board easily. Then you have access to the back of the main lock from there, take off the nut and retaining ring, push the lock out of the hole slowly (don't lose small parts) . At that point you can remove the tumblers and use any key that fits in the hole, or have someone that knows locks to re-key it.

No such luck on mine. Their is a flapper on the bottom that I think went to let the coins go thru to the bottom cabinent. But no bottom cabinent. I will carefully try and get in it when I get home. If you would post some pictures of yours it would be appreciated as I will have to be careful with anything I do.

Well my mechanic finally got to work. After taking a look at my shark I called Takes the Castle and bought his shark machine. His had a melt down in the control board and I needed some parts for mine.

We put two together with a nice stand and I decided I did not like the vibrating loader so we leveled the machine towards the front and it works like a dream.

Mopar made a couple of videos and they are attached. In comparison to an Arepachi they rate a close second. I like the scoring and the short game. Also like the piggy back feature.

Again thanks to Takes The Castle and my mechanic aka MOPAR.

Well I set it up to give the most balls it would for a quarter. You can make it alot tighter by just giving four balls a quarter. Each jackpot you receive is the same as whatever you set the machine to drop. I have it set on the max of 7.

Yes this one was originally made to work in an arcade for money. I would have to see pictures of yours to see what you have.
