You are correct - this is based on an SNK fighting samurai game called 'Last Blade' for the Neo Geo.

幕末浪漫　月華の剣士外伝～あかりと七つの妖珠～ is 'Bakumatsu Rouman Tsuki Hana no Kenshi Gaiden - Akari to Nanatsu no' ... (I can't translate those last 2 characters unfortunately). Basically, this looks like it is being referred to as just 'Gekka Gaiden', or 'Samuari 777' in Japan. All of the first part can just be translated as 'Last Blade' (as this is the series name in English) and the last part says 'Akari and the Seven something'... so I guess this is a reference to the '7' which is pretty common amongst pachislo names of course. I would think the final translation would be something close to LAST BLADE STORY (or CHAPTER) : AKARI's SEVEN something...
