Hello DefaultGen, what brings you to PachiTalk

Just picked up a couple pachi machines locally. I've been wanting a modern Pachinko for quite a while and finally got one!

How about you tell us a bit about yourself, DefaultGen.

I'm a 20 year old game collector from New York and a student at RPI. I've got around 2000 regular games but do have a JAMMA cabinet and a slew of JAMMA boards/Neo-Geo carts and I figure you guys are more into arcade hardware if anything! Since I'm only 20, I don't really have a whole bunch of room for big hardware, but in a few years I plan on moving to New Hampshire and really getting my arcade collection going.

Love my modern pachinko and I've been combing Craigslist for a vintage one to put next to it. No need to tell me I'm travelling a dark road since I usually spend money on lots of toys What should I be looking for in a vintage pachinko? I've see all this on forums about frames, type A, B, and C, different manufacturers... Recommend me something!

as to what to get as a Vintage, I would carry on searching your local Craigs List, as this seems to be where most of the bargains are to be found these days

Then you could always ask opinions of ones that you like the look of

Most important is to get good clear pics of the whole machine, front and cell face, to check if there is any water staining etc, and also a good pic of the rear, so you can check for any missing or broken parts

as far as a vintage like Hanabi said look for a clean machine little or no rust.. dont get in a hurry and settle for the first one ya see
