the characters on that Gatchaman GR are the exact same characters from a show I used to watch as a lad...
I remember it as "G-Force".

Science Team Gatchaman was brought over to the US a few times. The first was in the early 80's as Battle of the Planets, the group went by G-Force and over the years several versions were re-dubbed and edited - but IMHO BotP was the best of the lot.

I never missed it.
I remember I was in the hospital after havin' my tonsils out, & the tv was stuck on Donahue or Merv Griffin...

Anyway, I got out of my craftmatic to change the channel (no remotes back then) & my IV popped out.

I didn't even realize it, but the nurse was sure aggravated.

At least I got to watch it with ice cream... after they re-punctured me.
