Exclamation Help with guide for new owner!

Well, I wasn't able to resist and bid on a pachinko machine on Ebay... today the UPS lady drop a huge box!

I plug the machine on and it comes with no problem, all lights are good and we already have some fun using the pachinko! But the time to know more than where to move to shoot the balls (god that sounds kind of weird!) has come.

Did some one know the name of this machine and what the 3 buttons on the front do? what else... what else... o yeah does the "flaps" here should move open or always remain on the same position?

I have so many questions, so I'm sorry if I'm going just too fast or out of track on what I shold know about pachinko machines.

    Thanks to every one!

1999, Sankyo, CR Fever Zeus, CRフィーバーゼウスSX

Authentic Japanese Sankyo Pachinko machine - $125 (foster city) CA

Questions are always welcome. If you watch the video link in my second link above, it's a promotional video for that game, so should answer some questions, even if you don't understand Japanese

The three buttons on the front don't normally do anything for home use. These are the Card Reader/Ball Loan buttons.

ooohh... ok so I guess the connector in the back of the machine is for the link to the parlor internal control system?

Well I like the machines, Its kind of loud, but I guess that is part of the fun!! My two kids love it, they are 3 and 4 and they love to movethe lever and all the noise and lights!

There is a technical question... I fill the tray that is on the top, but after a couple of seconds the machione just release the balls back, I have check as much as I can and no cables are loose or nothing is obstructing the way down, I'm not sure what can be wrong.

And there is a 8 segment LED readout on the back of the machine and a series of what I will think are numeral codes for the current status of the game (I think go from 1 to 8 and C), but beyond the on/off switch and a label that indicate how to open the front part of the pachinko all the rest is on japanese, did you guys know what are each code? at this point the display show a 7!

    Thanks again!

The DB-25 connector (looks like a parallel port connection) is the Card Reader connection. There should be something plugged in to it to fool it into thinking a Card Reader is connected. It might be altered another way, but as long as it shoots, it doesn't matter.

If the balls are coming out the front, it's just catching up on payouts. All machines stock payouts (in one form or another) in case the game runs out of balls. I'm not sure if there's a hard reset button on this vintage or not. If you can post a picture of the back of the frame, I could tell you.

A '7' is normally 'Out of Balls', the top hopper in the back is empty/low.

hahaha... well my guess was correct, I was thinking that the number 7 was something related with the balls on the uper tray... I can see its holding some balls inside the part for the payout but after I add some It just let them go, there is switch under the LED display but I push and nothing happend, just the LED go off and the on back again.. letme get a picture from the back for you and one from the "menu" of the the service display.

The back of the machine (Its too dark and the flash dont help a lot to see the details)

If it dumps the balls to the front as soon as you put them in, it's catching up on stocked payouts. You might try turning the machine off (the switch in the upper right of the back), hold that button in and turn it back on. Hold the button for a couple seconds and release.

I really wanted a picture of the back to see what kind of payout mechanism you had, yours is the current electronic style, previous was mechanical and is a little more complicated to clear, other than just keep filling the hopper and letting it pay out till it's done.

Thanks again, I dump the tray of balls that I have (that should be like maybe only 300) on the uper tray and the machine just go crazy!! and after maybe the half was send down it just stop and the system display go off!!!

Now... simple question, its there a way to perform a test rutine on the system? I mean, most of the equipment have some way to perform a self checkout to see if all the I/O are working fine or if something is not as should be make it easy to be detected and repair. (owner manual or something that I can download and read?)

yeah... I need to find a way to get the pachis (its that correct? I just think "balls" sound kind of...) from the back faster so I can keep feeding the machine!

And get more because 300 isn't enough, and get a clean rag, a brush and the can of air to give it a good clean!

if your only playing wiht 300 balls your not having all the fun u could...

your top hopper will hold about 1000 with out modification... and in a modern machine u can go threw that perty quick

sounds like u need more BALLS sphears if ya prefer

There are frame manuals, but no one has gotten one for a frame this old, not easy to find now. The LED display on the back will let you know if somethings not right, mostly. If you ever have any problems, come here, we're always ready to help!

thanks for the info, its kind of fun to see the machine working... and it looks like is fun for every one here at the house.

Maybe the next year I will upgrade my pachinko and I will get some other machine that isnt that old! (I see a Robocop one that looks fun for me!)

Oddly - I've got that machine. Although my playtime with it is limited, I've never had any issues with the thing.
I used to eat lots of natural foods until I found out most people die of natural causes.
