New guy with a question about my machine

I just found this board, and I'm glad you are all here!
So, I've had this machine for about 3-4 years now. I think it's 80's or 90's. It's a Sankyo "High performance" machine with an electric shooter and no video or anything like that. I am trying to figure out what it's called. The centerpiece theme is this little dude with a jackhammer. ( He's my avatar pic) - the machine is in awesome shape and totally works. It's great when it gets going with the little guy jumping all over the place in there. It has lots of little "license" looking stickers on it too. It's in a frame/base so it can stand on my table in my arcade room ( I collect arcade machines too) .. I just can't find the name anywhere in english. Does anyone know of this machine, and is thre a database of machines somewhere?

I think you have "Road Construction" Is this it? I'm not an expert, but I used to have this one.

You do indeed have a Sankyo machine named Road Construction 1.

The reason you probably can't find it is that the machine was named only in Japanese script. This is the name in kanji :

道路工事I

..this translates to Road Constructuion 1, basically.

It is a Hanemono machine (meaning it features wings to capture balls and send them towards the central figure), and you can find a pic of it here : pachimono pachinko galleries - hanemono

Close - his is the earlier one from the 90's, where as your's is either this one, the CR version:

or this one, the DX, both from 2003:

Road Construction One is a 1990 game.

The name on games of this vintage are usually on the lower left of the playfield and printed on the game control board box on the back.

Thanks for the replies! The One from the Hanemono Gallery is pretty similar, but Mine has a different playfield Its got english text that says brrrrrrrggggg or something like that, and it's got a lot of yellow and green. I'll post a full pic later on. The youtube video is very close, but the music on mine is a bit different. It's cool to see all the other machines and themes.

That's a very nice machine! That era seems harder to come by, I think more so than the vintages and the modern variety. Enjoy it!
