Default Resource for Lumina Speakers (or compatible) needed

    Hi,

in one of my Lumina frames, somone obviously pushed his finger through one of the speakers, so it is broken (deep crack).

So I'm looking for a new speaker for it. I checked literally 200 different descriptions of speakers of german dealers here but none of them will fit in the frame. They mostly have only 3.3" or 2.5" speakers, in the frame is a 3" speaker.

So if anyone could direct me to a source (preferably but not necessarily in Europe) where I could buy speakers that fit into the Lumina frame, that would be great!

    Thanks,

    Berzerk

Do you know whether it is 4 or 8 ohm impedance? It should be marked on somewhere on the speaker. I know of several sources depending on which it is.

    8 Ohm, 5 Watt.

Diagonal length for the mounting holes is 3 1/2"
    Cone diameter is 3"
Depth from mount tabs to back of Magnet is 1 3/4"
Diameter of Magnet is 1 3/4". Can be as large as 2 1/2".

I did find two 8 ohm 3 inch speaker sources.

    http://www.electronics123.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1312/.f 8 ohm 1 watt
    international shipping by Fedex

    http://www.xump.com/science/Hobby-Speaker-8Ohm-3Inch.cfm 8 ohm 3 watt international shipping

I suspect that the 3 watt version might be suitable since most folks don't run these machines in a home at high volume.

Thank you very much. I might try the 3 Watt version. This one should fit physically in the frame. It seems to me that the original speaker is a higher quality because of the magnet on the back is much bigger.

But for $3 I can just try it out. I'm still wondering that 3" speakers seem to be very rare, though they are built in many devices like ipod speakers etc.

I'm sure that the original speaker is of higher quality. They have to be because they are driven at such a high volume in the pachi parlors. In the home environment, I imagine that a 3 watt should do fine.
