ROCKY BALBOA pachislo

I can pick up a ROCKY BALBOA pachislo but it keeps getting a hooper error when it goes to pay out. Plenty of tokens in it just spins and gets a E8. Any idea? I can pick it up for 100.00 mint condition other wise.

The tokens are brand new clean as a whistle Now cleaning the hopper what is needed to do that? Take it apart or just a rag and elbow grease.

Heck go for it.
Make sure the video screen works otherwise E-8 should be something simple.
Balboa is a really fun machine to play.
The hopper could just be unplugged.The connection not a slide connection is located directly behind the hopper and it is easy not to seat properly when replacing.

Here's your problem...
It needs a "soft reset" every time you open the door.
After you switch the machine on & close the door; instead of turning the key to the right, turn it to the left.
I have a 2006Looney Tunes that has the same safety feature (& I think another machine as well)

Anyway, I've played the Looney Tunes extensively without failure.
Anytime I open the door while the power is on (or when I power it up for the first time),
it displays E-8 with lights & a woman chanting a phrase continuously in Japanese.
After I close the door & turn the key to the left,
I then receive a chime & the machine fires up into attract mode.

Seeing as how your "Rocky Balboa" is also a 2006 model, I'm willing to gamble a soft reset is all you'll need.

I'm not a big "Sly" fan, but at $100, you're getting a deal... (from someone that obviously doesn't know much about pachislo)

Correction. The hopper connector is on the power supply I was thinking of a Fuji machine.
