    Default wisconsin owners

Sorry if there is a more appropriate forum to ask this in but. I bought two machines and am wondering if there actually legal to own in wisconsin. All the sites that sell them say they are legal in all states but california but in the faq section there are only some states that say "legal to own pachislo" after them, wi not being one of them. any insight is appreciated. thanks! Andy

I live in Wisconsin, and as far as I know, they are legal. Pachi-Slo machines are sold at local fairs and arcade sales, so I believe they are legal. I also own 12-15 pachinkos and I have had them shipped to me from many different sources..

Pachislo aren't the same as a slot machine (as defined by law). Much like a cherry master in the local bars, the law is very specific in regards to the type of game.

Johnson creek area?? I live ouside of beaverdam myself. Only reason im wondering is, I have a large recroom I'm putting them in, I also have a 20 foot stocked bar, pooltable etc... But theres large windows all the way around so. In the case that an officer stopped by while were having a party(which happens quite often) I don't want to get my butt kicked for it. Definately not changing them to currency or anything. Just wondering if there legal to own. thanks for the input!

Your right, there is a difference. In Wisconsin it is illegal to own or operate "Vegas Style" Slot machines. Pachi-Slo machines are Ok and so are Pachinko. But you CAN own Vegas Style machines that are over 20 years(?) old. Complicated law..

i noticed that wisconsin requires that machines be 25 years or older.but,i don't think the law applies to machines that pay out in tokens or credits.i could be wrong, but i have seen cherry masters and penny machines in use in bars in wisconsin,in plain view of law enforcement.and those seem to be legal, because they don't pay out cash.you should check with a lawyer on this,or look up the statutes in your local law library.

Yea, i looked online through some laws. As far as slots they had to be made before 1974 to be legal to own, and its definately a felony for running a machine that pays out (unless you have a liquer or gambling license) but... Sounds like it's not a big deal so, thanks for all the input everyone.

I was just at the 7 mile fair a month or so ago, he still has his setup there, don't know if he still runs it though, as someone other than david was minding it.

Well thats good to know. If it is David still running it he has a warehouse a short distance south yet of Seven mile road. You can contact him and go there to look at and pick up machines at other times then when the fair is open.
