3 position switch on the left hand side of the circuit board on the upper part of the door. Down is loud, middle is VERY LOUD, up is OH MY GOD :-)

I used a fixed resistor mod on the tweeters (NOT easy to get to :-( ) and an L-pad on the belly speaker

I'll post a few pics in a bit

It's my family's favorite machine, time will tell if it stays that way. Neat game, great sounds. Interesting teaser games make you think you're about to go into BONUS on a regular basis. The LCD has a lot of different scenes which interact with the play every few spins. I like it.

Those are Yamasa reels, you'll get used to it :-) :-(
Mine are louder than most of my machines, but not nearly a loud as Magic Pulsar (another Yamasa)

You already found it, but here's the volume control (next to the orange spot)

The upper speakers are downward firing, and they are behind the circuit board where the blue wires in the upper left of the picture disappear to :-(

Here's my L=Pad installed in the belly (location not popular with some of the purists here.)

Here what it looks like from the inside

I didn't take pics while I was working on the upper speakers, but if you only think yours is a little loud, you should be able to get by with just adjusting the belly.

I adjusted my tweeters, but I have a quiet volume fetish  Or a strong desire to not have the machines banished to the garage :-)

The spot worked very well in that the wires were already right there and no wire had to be added. If you don't want to drill the front panel, you could just turn it around to face inward.

On this machine I like having it right up front so I can keep the cool jungle beat turned up until a house-mate complains and asks for it to be turned down :-)

That's a smokin' deal. You can find what I paid on E-bay. It was more, but I did get 900 tokens and I'm very happy with the machine.
