Max Bet Button quit working

The max bet button on my Neo Pharaoh Zetz has suddenly quit working.
It still blinks when tokens need to be added and goes out when reels are ready to spin. The 1 bet button works fine. This Yamasa machine has diagnostic LED's on the motherboard and on my Neo Magic Pulsar (same internal layout) when the max bet button is depressed the M LED lights on the motherboard, on the Zetz that is not happening. Any ideas about troubleshooting this? Thanks.

i would check for any loose wiring connectors,broken wires connecting to the switch,and also check the switch itself for continuity.

I removed the button after raising the EL vision screen and lo and behold, the circuit board for the proximity switch itself (located within the button) had loosened from one of its retaining clips and was sitting cockeyed so that the switch failed to activate. This effectively tested as an open circuit. All fixed and thank you again. If you don't know, Pachitalk is where you find the answers.
