For those of you following the other thread on this machine, here's another on ebay. I haven't received mine yet, so I can't give any info on the play as of now.

Looking for an Arra King? The one on eBay (see link in the message above) is still sitting at $48 with less than a day and a half to go. It may go cheap.

And, if you miss out on that one, you can buy direct from pachislo.com. They have one for $149 retail. That seems like a great price to me. I did check their inventory and they show only one of those it stock right now.

SEE THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN EVERYONE STARTS BLABBING ON THIS SITE ABOUT THE GREAT DEALS ON EBAY. Now I can't get the machine for $69. You guys owe me the differance I will have to pay, got to consult my lawyer about this problem. LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS AND MACHINE DEALS> This is why there are no good deals any more on EBAY :smt021

I was, still am a dealer for Grandview. They will not ship to me but most others will for purchase. Just not resale. But I can dropship to anyone who wants a deal. The cost of the machines is lower than the EBAY prices you see.

I didn't grease enough liberal Democrat politicions. If they were getting 10 cents per token purchased they may have been happy.

I think I was really lucky to snag my Arra King for $102 but the shipping is a total buzz kill. I think I am done with individual machine buys. I have to find a way to save on shipping. It almost costs a whole machine just to pay for shipping. I am thinking of saving my money and renting a truck or something. I don't know.

If any of you have original ideas on how to save on shipping, please let me know. The only deals I have seen so far are pallets of 4 or 6 (or more) or 3 in one day from some vendors.

    Thanks. ~spooner

    Default arra king

My Arra King (or Arakind) arrived today (on schedule) from Pachislot Station. Although I was unsure of the adequacy of the packing when comparing the pictures on their auction pages as compared to others, the machine arrived in perfect condition. Packing really was quite adequate, and UPS would have to had really beat it to get through that box. Extra foam protected critical areas on the front of the machine even though they weren't really close to the box sides. The only bad thing I saw was the package of tokens was lying loose in the bottom of the box. It was under the machine, but there was a chance it could have come out and hit something if UPS flipped the box around some. The only other defect, if you can call it that, was someone got a bit careless in painting the wood sides and got some black paint on the green plastic of the case. But since it was latex paint which doesn't stick to plastic, it scraped off in a few seconds with my fingernail. Everything else with the machine appears clean and in good condition.

Now for the part you were waiting for, how did it play? (You didn't think I was going to let it sit unplayed?) I left the machine at whatever level it was set at and played. I was getting pretty frustrated feeding it over 250 tokens and only hitting a few minor wins. Interesting sounds and music (Arabian themed). Dropping tokens in makes some pretty loud noises, but the other sounds aren't nearly as loud (till you hit a bonus). There are random number generators on both sides above the reels (both the same). Every time you hit a button to stop a reel, one of the digits stops advancing. I couldn't figure out what the loud tone I would get occasionally was, as I didn't really see any pattern to matches on the reels, until I happened to look up as I hit a button and saw I matched two of the three digits and the tone sounded. So I kept trying to match the numbers. I eventually matched three zeros and the music and sounds from the machine changed. Lights were flashing all over. Eventually I hit three eagles ? and the machine really went crazy! There are lights all over the machine that you really don't notice till till you hit one of these bonuses. Even the number panels that were normally red started changing randomly from red to green, sometimes just one digit, sometimes all, sometimes in sequence. Never did see that Pachinko ball thing in the top center do anything, but with all the lights going off and the sounds, it would have been real easy to miss.

The machine has a pretty effective attract mode too. There are several spots across the top that randomly flash a bright light like a flash bulb going off and different short sounds come on as well. And like I said before in another thread, I really liked that bright lime green color. This machine is going to get a lot of play I can see.

I have been playing my Arra King now for the past few days, and I really like it. It is very fun to play, good lights and sounds (maybe need an L-pad). The led numbers in top corners add an additional element of excitement. This model is a nice find. I am very gald I opted to get this.

We've been having a great time with Arra King here.

During the bonus round, the LED numbers on the top right show you which order to stop the reels. The numbers on the left side normally roll through 0 - 9, but during bonus they change to a dash (-) 3's and 7's. I hit trip 7's during a bonus round and the music changed. I only had 2 bonus spins left, and after that the bonus just ended normally. So I'm not sure what would happen if you got triples during a jac-in game.

I don't think we've even hit a big bonus yet. We've only had 2 bonus rounds of 8 spins each. Does anyone know if there is a 3-round bonus game?

Yes, there is a big bonus round. I've hit it three times, and my machine is set for the lowest payout percentages. If you think you got lights and music going off now, wait till you hit the big one. Trick is in matching sevens or eagles. Also, watch the white lights on the header. When they start flashing at random you have a much better chance at matching on the reels or the numbers on top. Here's another interesting point. Since we've been talking about this machine here, I've noticed prices on ebay going up. One of the vendors is now starting bidding at $149.95, about $20 more than I won mine for a month ago.

    Thanks for the reply, Roger.

I'm going to play AK in a while so maybe tonight's the night for BB.

My last post has a factual error. The upper left LED changes to dashes, 3's and 7's during a bonus, but only during jac games--not during the bonus games. When I hit trip 7's I had 2 jac games left.

On the right hand side of the reels there are 2 arrow symbols. Above these symbols there are 2 more symbols, the top one is the girl from the belly glass. Has anyone seen these light up? They lit up once for me, but I'm not sure why they light up or what it means? :-)

We've seen the dancer and the light just below her light up at the same time, but for the life of me I can't remember what made them do it.

Also the Replay light below the arrows lights up sometimes during jac games, but never has that been an indication that 3 replay symbols were going to come up. More times than not you'll just keep hitting 3 bells while it's lit.

The lights and LED's get pretty busy sometimes. I'll try to pay more attention to what causes certain lights to come on.

Did you notice on the sticker below the reels, it looks like if you get a 147, 258, or ??? (369? Who knows?) on the LED something interesting is supposed to happen, but they don't say what.

With any luck maybe BigBear will feature this model sometime soon. I could use some insight on this one.

I noticed the replay light as well and, I agree, I am not sure about that either. I didn't notice anything below the reels, but I will keep an eye out for it. It is very nice machine and I like the flah bulbs at the top. As far as the Pachinko ball at the top, I think thats just for show...it pops up briefly when you hit the bonus.

I was just playing my Arra King and I noticed two things. First, I noticed that when the white lights at the top blink (little lights), that the LED numbers are reversed. Normally both sets are the same (example 234 on the left and 234 on the right), but they where 234 left and 432 right. I don't know the significance of this is, but I thought I'd mention it. Secondly, during normal play, all of a sudden the LED lights darkened (blue I think) and the flippers moved and the ball went up andd that part lit up white. This only happened once and it didn't get me anything. :-)
