My Japanese PS2 did NOT require any modifications to use here in the U.S... they are 110v and work fine...

I have about I think 10 or so Pachinko games for the ps2.. I wish I could list them, but I cannot read Japanese. hehehehehe

Now several of these were for the PS.. and the others are for PS2..

I can see if I can get an exact count today, and see if I can get some titles worked out too..

Azlew: I will get to work on that today..

JamesM: Lemme fire up my laptop and get all the info on the emulator you require..All my pachinko games are originals.. I use Alcohol 120% to make a backup of the disc and use it on the laptop.. Now this emulator can READ the CD-ROM directly, so you COULD run the ORIGINAL games on the ORIGINAL cd's!!!

I am hoping to provide all information on Pachinko video games I have as possible..

In fact, maybe I will post images from the games I cannot identify, so others here may be able to do so... There are alot that I have.. These almost all came from EBAY.. I run PACHINKO in the search engine almost every other day..

One of my PROUDEST finds was locating Dirty Pair Pachinko for the PS.. This game was SUPER rare and VERY hard to find.. I actually contacted someone who had a person in Japan to get this.. I love it so much, I want the original machine itself..

I even got a PS2 pachinko based on Space Battleship Yamato (Otherwise known as STAR BLAZERS here in the U.S.) I even found out there is a ACTUAL Space Battleship Yamato Pachinko machine too...

I have Pachinko games for ALMOST ALL my consoles.. I have them for SNES, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, PS, PS2, Gameboy, Turbo Duo, and Magnavox Odyssey (? Spelling).

    Long Live Pachinko,

    Here's another option;
Playing PS2 games on my computer would be very convenient,
and I look forward to trying the emulator angle.
In the mean time, I just bought the Action Replay cheat disk from BestBuy.
Just boot up your PS2 with the disk to access the Action Replay browser.
Then you can play any DVD or PS2 game from any region. What I don't know is if AR will play backups.

    Default oops!

Hey, spooner, you need to check your PMs (private messages) now and again.
Wow! I am sorry to all of those who have sent me PMs with no response. I have responded to all of them now. I thought I had everything set up properly in my profile to notify me via email when I received a PM, however, some idiot put in the wrong email address when I, uh ... I mean ... they typed it in so I was not receiving notifications of messages.

Sorry slotter and everyone else. I think I have fixed the problem now. ~spooner

I received a couple of days ago this simulation for my Dreamcast :

    PACHINKO NO DENDO CR NANASY

This came in less than a week from an listing on Ebay I purchased !

What can I say ? I put it in my NTSC Dreamcast and of course it wouldn't work right out as its from Japan. SO I put in my handy dandy "loader" disk and when it asked for the Pachinko disk to be loaded I did so and BINGO ! It loads perfect!

Yep the menus are all Japanese but after messing around with selections I was able to get this beauty loaded up! What a blast! Great graphics and sound. The Dreamcast controls allows for adjusting the angle of view. This allows a 3 dimensional view to be used plus fantastic closeups. Everything is adjustable from how hard and fast the balls are shot to the odds of hitting the BIG one ! Also a stats screen is available but that's going to take some time to figure out....

All in all a well made simulation for the Dreamcast and yes I will be looking for more pachinkos for my Dreamcast. I already have a Pachislo one on order now as of today !

Once again. Since I do not own a dreamcast, is there a good emulator out there that will allow the use of these sims?

By the way, I noticed a Pachislo controller complete with spin button and three autostop buttons that was made in Japan to connect to the Playstation for running the Pachislo emulators, but I cannot seem to find the listing. Any ideas?

    Thanks. ~spooner

Spooner are you wanting a emulator that will run Playstation games on a PC? If so I think there was one called Bleem that was a decent one but I couldn't get it to run on XP for some reason.

Also I remember that controller advertised on Ebay one time but I haven't seen it for a long time.

It would be nice to hear of any Playstation or Dreamcast emulators that can run on a PC running XP.

I have also not been able to make bleem work on XP. No big surprise since the company that made it went belly up years ago.

I would really like a PS2 emulator, but have not found one that worked on any Windoze flavor yet. I am not willing to keep a Window$ 98 machine around just to use as an emulator.

As far as the controller is concerned, I saw it in the last week or so but neglected to mark it and now can't find it. It seemed kind of silly to me, I guess.

As far as PS1 emulator are concerned, it is probably better to buy a refurbished PS1 or PSX for $49 and use a boot disk. That is what I have done in the past. It is pretty nice to have the whole sound system and everything.

$149 is also not a bad price for the PS2 ... I have just not bit the bullet to buy and mod one yet. I just don't have enough time in the day (or excess cash).

    Thanks for the feedback. ~spooner

I know what you are saying about the PS2. I haven't seen any Pachislo or Pachinko emulations on it yet but I have heard they are incredible. I gave my PS to my son a few years ago along with 400-500 cds of games but I didn't have any Pachinko or Pachislos then. Now that I am into this maybe I will have to borrow that modded PS back

Yeah, either that or pick up one of those refurb PSX boxes and find someone with a boot disc. I have used this setup ... um ... at a friends house, on foreign games many times
