Default Received broken pachinko machine through FedEx.

I got a machine delivered Saturday and the glass was fractured in to multiple pieces. I called FedEx, filed a claim with them and they picked it up Sunday, but I don't know what to expect from this point on. Do they pay for the broken part to be repaired or if they determine it was their fault, do they pay the insured amount plus shipping/insured amount only and keep it?

It was insured for $75 but I read in another post to expect to have to pay @$40 to replace the glass.

i battled with the post office to get 100.00 insurance money for lost package, it took 6 months to resolve.

i hope fedex is better than that.

they might just say it was packed inproperly!!!

good luck with your claim

They did a pick up on SUNDAY? That would never happen around here. They only deliver on Saturday if they are paid extra and Sunday they are closed down.

I had a package lost by UPS and it took almost a year to have it resolved. I hope you have better luck!

Ive filed with UPS before on damages, adn they normally just call, never do they come pick it up. I guess FE is a bit more strict. Id guess they will contact the sleer and redeliver it to them. Who knows, i woudl have contacted the seller first adn had them take care of it.

Any settlement goes to the seller (shipper) though, correct?
Since they are the one that purchased the insurance (even though another may have paid for it).
I'd definitely get in touch with the seller!

By the way, was this a vintage pachinko? $75 seems kind of low for insurance if it wasn't.

That is way I over pack all machines, rather be to goodly packed than not enought. UPS took about three months to clear a claim up.
