I doubt the monitor works the battery is dead and probably the program is messed up. If you can get the parts??? I do not think it would even be a bargain at that price.

i think it could be a "good" deal if... ... ... u could know the moniter was good...

geting chips and geting the ram reboted is not that hard... but if the moniter is out tt would cost way to much to get working

All it says is "machine has not been tested"
Nobody is bidding on it, so someone might get it for 5 bucks or 10 or 20.
If the monitor is no good, you throw it in the garbage.

Exclamation Re: Video Poker at Tucson, AZ Goodwill

Well I gotta say that was the most ghetto goodwill I have ever seen in my life.
Anyways the machine is in great shape. No money inside plugged it in & got nothing. I drilled the locks out to access the inner workings & saw the switch was already on so I checked the fuses I could see all were good. The next step was to check all the connectors & I was able to get the light on the table to work & the signal light alternates top & bottom light. I push self test button & I hear a click from the speaker but monitor doesnt fire & the coin mech also appears to have no power but the bill acceptor cycles fine . It also has a coin lifter which is cool but no power to it either. I did find a nickel in the machine its in the coin compariter. Does anyone know where I can find a manual for this beast? its in real great shape I'm suspecting a power supply problem. Its made by IGT in '92

yes it sounds like a power supply issue. for some reason power supply board only lasted a few years on theses older bally and IGT slants. It souldn't be too hard to find. also those old crt monitors should be pretty easy and inexpencive to change. The MPU board should be fine but if the battery is dead you might need to master reset the game after you change the battery wich will require clear chips. But cross that bridge when you get to it. good luck.

Yeah, the diagrams show mostly the upright version of the PE+
The slant top has the same components, just in different positions.
All of the test functions, etc are the same.

Well so far I found all the fuses were ok But the flyback on the monitor is cracked from failure so that would explain why the monitor doesn't work. The candle on the top is showing tilt door open error (even with everything closed). The coin hopper works when I tested it on the bench but I still have no power to the coin mech. I'm wondering if the flyback took out anything when it failed & if repairing the monitor would be worth finding out.
